Different Dimension 80's Baby Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have half of the 80's Baby Collection from Different Dimension to share with you! The 80's Baby Collection is 6 bright neons with a subtle scattered holo effect. I saw these on the Different Dimension etsy a little while ago and went back and forth about buying them, I ended up getting a few glitters instead but then Missi sent me these 3 to review. Now I need the other half like right now because they are fantastical haha!

Zoya PixieDust Collection Swatches!

Hi guys! Today I have swatches of Zoya's PixieDust collection to share with you! We've seen our fair share of texture so far this year and I'm still loving them. The PixieDust polishes are a bit different than the other texture's I've seen/tried. Just for the sake of comparison OPI's Liquid Sand is much more of a chunky glitter type of texture. The other brands (China Glaze, Milani, Nails Inc, Barry M) all seem to be doing creme type of finishes that don't have any kind of glitter or sparkle in them. The PixieDust polishes are glitter but the glitter is much finer than what OPI is doing, it looks sort of like you sprinkled colored sugar onto your nails.

I have to say that out of what I have tried and seen, PixieDust is my favorite of the texture polishes that have been released so far.  I just love how fine the glitter is and variety of colors Zoya has given us so far (I say so far because I really hope they do more, I'm dying for these in bright summery colors!). Also just some random bit of info because it excited me, the bottle caps of these are matte! If you have any of the Matte Velvet polishes from Zoya they are the same caps that those had. I have a weird love for those caps and I'm sure I'm not the only one so I thought it was worth mentioning!

Nail Pattern Boldness Oodiful

Hi guys! Today I have a pretty polish from Nail Pattern Boldness to share with you called Oodiful! Oodiful is a grey jelly with pink and white matter glitter in various sizes and shapes. This polish is from Nail Pattern Boldness's Time Traveler Collection and is inspired by the Ood. I think that is a Dr Who character? I don't know...I don't watch the show (I feel like I'm the only one haha)

The formula was good, it wasn't thick and it was easy to apply...the opacity was also great. I do with there was a little more glitter but I enjoy how this looks on the nail. I used 2 coats for the photos below. The first 2 photos are in sunlight and the 3rd is in the shade.

OPI Oz The Great And Powerful Collection Swatches

Hi guys, hope you all had a great weekend! Everyone watch the Oscars last night? I did, only to mark off winners on the office pool haha!

This collection is OPI's Soft Shades Collection for 2013 and it's inspired by Disney's Oz The Great And Powerful that is coming out on March 8th. Morgan Taylor Swatches

Hi guys, hope you're all having a great weekend so far! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I'm going to see HelloGoodbye tonight, I haven't seen them live in a few years...plus they are playing with a couple bands that broke up a few years ago that I never got to see live so I'm pretty darn excited!

Today I have some polishes from a new brand called Morgan Taylor to share with you guys. You got a little preview of these in my ISSE post from a couple weeks ago. Morgan Taylor is owned by the company that makes Gelish, that's what got me excited about it. I'm not a gel polish kinda gal but Gelish is a brand I've heard so many good things about that it made me interested in seeing what they were doing in the world of regular nail polish. The brand made their debut this year at ISSE with something crazy like 64 of the 100 colors they are launching. Their booth was a whole rainbow of gorgeous shades and finishes, I was like a kid in a candy store! I browsed the selection for a while and finally settled on 6 colors, it was hard...I seriously could have bought so many more but I was like nooo Jen, self control!

As far as availability goes I was told at the Morgan Taylor booth that these would be available March/April at pro stores like Cosmoprof and Armstrong McCall. For those of us (myself included) who do not have a cosmetology license and can't shop at stores like those I have no idea....I did my fair share of googling and came up with nada, I can't even find any kind of official website for the brand. Hopefully as stores get these they will start being available online to us normal folks at places like Amazon...time will tell I guess.

Contrary Polish Ain't No Sunshine vs Illamasqua Raindrops

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, Tuesday was kind of a rough day and I just didn't feel like editing photos or typing up a post on Tuesday night. Degen started limping really badly on Monday so I took him to the vet Tuesday morning and spent most of my day there. Still don't know what's wrong with him but he's not limping as bad, so that's good! I'm so emotionally exhausted from all of it though, I seriously don't know how people have kids. I'm way too much of worrywart for kids I think, I'd give myself ulcers worrying.

Anyway, today I have a quick comparison for you...a few of you wanted to see this after I posted the Contrary Polish Love Lyrics Collection the other day. Below is a comparison of Contrary Polish Ain't Not Sunshine vs Illamasqua Raindrops. These are very similar but different at the same time. They have the same kind of flakies and shimmer but the base color of the polish is different. Raindrops is much more of a white grey base and Ain't No Sunshine is a darker more blue based grey. I really like both of these. Formula wise I like the consistency of Raindrops better but it's not as opaque as Ain't No Sunshine is. I used 3 coats of polish for each polish int he photos below.

Degen's February BarkBox

Hi guys, hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was good, I bet a lot of you here in the US have today off but not me...I'm at work, slaving away :(

Anyway, today I have Degen's February BarkBox to share with you. I was going to post a ton of comparisons today but I was too lazy to edit all the photos, sorry....at least I'm honest right? I was hoping this box would have a Valentines theme but it doesn't. Apparently (according to the card in the box) February is National Pet Dental Health Month so that's the theme of this box!

piCture pOlish Mallard by The PolishAholic News/Announcement!

Hi guys! Quick post for you guys tonight because I have a fun bit of news for you about the shade I made with piCture pOlish called Mallard! When piCture pOlish launched Mallard and the other 3 new Collaboration shades they were limited edition. Since the response has been so great from everyone piCture pOlish has decided to make Mallard part of their permanent range!! I'm so excited that everyone has been liking it enough to actually buy a bottle Mallard. I've been getting a lot of emails from people asking about the availability of the shade since it's been sold out at several of piCture pOlish's network members. I'm happy to say that now if it's sold out you don't have to worry about never being able to get it!  I'm so flattered that piCture pOlish decided to make Mallard part of their range so a big thank you to everyone for the support, I'm so glad you are all loving it as much as I do!

Different Dimension Love's A Punny Thing Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Happy Valentines Day :D Anyone doing anything romantical tonight? I am hanging out with Degen...yep, he is my Valentine...be jealous. I'm not even rocking a Valentines manicure. In true what the heck is going on with mah nails fashion my right hand is naked and all of the nails on my left hand are a different color. Two of the nails on my left hand are a shade of pink so maybe that can count as my Valentines manicure.

Today I have theValentines Collection from Different Dimension to share with you, this Collection is called the Love's A Punny Thing Collection. It consists of 4 festive glitters with some pretty awesome names. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Ozotic Mr Big in Black & White Swatches

Hi guys!! Today I have a couple new-ish Ozotic polishes to show you. Ozotic recently came out with 3 polishes they are calling Mr Big, they are called that because they are gigantic! The bottles are twice the size of the regular full sized polishes we're used to. The 3 polishes in the Mr Big range are Black, White and a Top Coat. I haven't gotten a chance to try out the top coat yet so once I have been using it for a while I'll let you guys know my thoughts about it. I really like the idea behind these specific colors in the giant bottles, if you guys are anything like me the things you go through the quickest are black, white, top coat and base coat. Base and top coat I go through for obvious reasons but I'm also constantly using black and white for layering. Side note...I wish Nails Inc Baker Street came in this kind of bottle, it's one of the few polishes I have a massive dent in and that makes me sad (good thing I've hoarded backups haha)

Anyway...onto polish! Mr Big in Black is a black creme. I was bit worried that I would have trouble with the application because of the size of the brush....the brush is pretty long due to the bottle being so huge. Good news though, no issues with controlling the brush! The formula was a bit thin at first but as I polished it got better and easier to apply. This dried nice and shiny on it's own! I used 2 coats for the photos below. I think it will probably end up being a 1 coater the more I use it since the formula will thicken up a little bit.

Mr Big in White is a white creme. This is a stark pure white creme. The formula was nice, it wasn't too thick or too thin. The first coat was on the streaky side but it evened out without a problem. I'd say this is a 2-3 coater depending on how you polish. If you use thinner coats you'll need 3 but if you tend to do thicker coats like I do 2 will probably be fine for you. Both photos below are in sunlight.

KBShimmer Spring 2013 Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Guess what today is? It's my 1000th post! I can't believe I've posted on here 1,000 times, that's a whole lot of nail polish! I have to say, I'm kind of impressed with myself for not quitting, I've never been the type to keep up with things I start. I probably would have thrown in the towel a while ago if it wasn't for you guys reading and commenting and just being awesome!

Today I have KBShimmer's gorgeous Spring 2013 Collection to share with you! This new collection is made up of 9 new polishes. There are layering glitters and glitters in milky or jelly bases that can be worn on their own. My favorite thing about this collection is the abundance of circle glitter, there are quite a few polishes with it in them!

Contrary Polish Santorini

Happy Friday! Today I have a stunner from Contrary Polish to share with you guys, I wore this a while back but forgot to post it! :(

Santorini is a dark blue with blue and silvery shimmer. I actually thought this was going to be much more saturated of a blue based on swatches that I saw before I bought it but I quite like that it's a bit more dusty than I though it would be. The shimmer was nice, it was easily visible in the sun and it gave the polish nice depth in lower light. The formula was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below. This did dry down a little bit matte, I used top coat for my photos!

OPI Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection Swatches

Today I have OPI's Spring 2013 Euro Centrale Collection to share with you guys! I've been pretty excited for these so I'm excited to show them today! The local beauty supply I go to got them a while ago but due to their contract with OPI they couldn't sell them until the official release date, which is today! Anyway, they have been teasing me by keeping them in a display in a locked box...it was torture seeing them just sitting there saying *swatch me* when I couldn't touch them.

Maybelline Color Show Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have a few swatches of some Maybelline Color Show polishes to share with you. These are wildly availably at pretty much every drugstore I've ever been to but I always seem to overlook them unless they are in an LE display. These 3 are all perm shades and one of them is especially gorgeous, I can't believe it never grabbed me enough to get sooner.

China Glaze Spring 2013 Avant Garden Collection Swatches

Hi guys, hope you all had a good weekend! Did everyone watch the Super Bowl? I sure did not...I only watched the half time show. I thought Beyonce was pretty great, I especially loved the little Destiny's Child reunion.

Today I have China Glaze's Spring 2013 Avant Garden Collection to share with you. I didn't plan on picking up the whole collection but the place I shop at only had them in the 2 packs of 6 colors. Glad that they *forced* me to buy all 12 because I ended up really enjoying this collection, especially some of the shades I was planning on passing on!

piCture pOlish o'hara

Happy weekend! Well guess what? I went and got another Alex from Ikea yesterday! I had planned to get it a few weekends ago but then I went to Ikea and realized that my Mini was a bit too mini to actually get it home (first world problems?). I talked my Dad into going with me since he drives an SUV so yay new Alex! I'm pretty excited to get to organizing it this weekend! I always hate when my polish is just sitting around because I can't fit it into my Helmers, it stresses me out, so this will be so nice!

Today I have one of the new piCture pOlish shades to share with you called o'hara! This came out at the same time as the 4 new Collaboration Collection shades.  O'hara is a bright red crelly with a scattered holographic shimmer going on. This is so beautiful, photos don't do a ton of justice to how great the holo is in here. The formula was fantastic, it was nearly a 1 coater for me! If you have shorter nails than I do I think 1 coat would actually be perfect, I only needed 2 to cover up a tiny bit of visible nail line!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam My Whimsical Valentine Collection

Hi guys, happy Friday!! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I will be swatching about eleventy billion nail polishes if the weather decides to cooperate with me and the sun is out! I seriously have so much stuff to share, I need more hands and more hours in the day!

Today I have the My Whimsical Valentine Collection from Whimsical Ideas by Pam to share with you. For Valentines this year Pam has done 5 beautiful polishes. I'm a big fan of everything that Pam does but collectively I think this my favorite collection she's done yet.
