Whimsical Ideas by Pam Spring 2014 Collection Swatches

Hi guys! So, last night I went and chopped my hair off...I intended for it to be to my shoulders but the hair dresser decided to just keep chopping and it ended up being way shorter than I thought it would.  Don't you hate when that happens? Hopefully my hair will decide to grow quickly for a change, it's at like the weirdest length now, like it's wanting to be a bob...ugh.

Anyway, today I have the new Whimsical Ideas by Pam Collection for Spring for ya! Pam has just recently released 5 new polishes, I was so excited when these showed up at my house. Whimsy mail is some of my favorite mail! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Frozen is icy blue circle glitter mixed in different sizes and shapes of iridescent glitter in a clear base. This was designed by Pam's niece and the first 50 bottles had super cute labels written by her. This was inspired by the movie Frozen, I haven't seen it yet but according to Pam's niece it's like the best thing since sliced bread so I guess I'll have to go see it soon haha! The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was fantastic! I used 1 coat over Dance Legend Nox for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Mom is orchid and white hex glitter along with red heart glitter in a clear base. This was originally meant to be a Valentines Day polish that was for Pam's Mom whose birthday is the day after Valentines day! I think it's great for any time of the year and it looks good over a variety of base colors. The formula was good, it was easy to get the heart glitter out and onto the nail. I used 2 coats over Seche Keep It You for the photos below. Please excuse any bubbles you see on the nail in the photos below, its from the top coat I used :(

Lighting: Shade

Rock On is red, purple and magenta micro glitter in a magenta jelly base. This was a surprise favorite for me, I wasn't so sure about it on the first coat but by the time it built up I was like whoa! Because of the jelly base this is a bit sheer, you could layer it if you wanted to but it's easy to build up on its own. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Round of Applause is big lilac circle glitter, smaller turquoise circle glitter and lilac micro glitter in a clear base. This is another that will look good over pretty much everything. The formula was good, it was easy to get all those big circles out and onto the nail. I used 1 coat over Milani White for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Tickled is a light pink base with soft gold glitter in various sizes and shapes. I love this combo, it's so simple and perfect. The gold and pink work so nicely together and it's that nice shade of pink that flatters my skin tone and makes me look tan, which is always nice haha! The formula was good, it was sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

The Whimsical Ideas by Pam Spring Collection is available now, each polish retails for $10 and you order via email. For all ordering info check out Pam's Facebook page here

  3. My last visit to the hair dresser wasn't that good either. It was so much shorter than I asked for and I have curls, so you can imagine the result :p right now it is much better, but it took some time before it looks nice and normal again.

What a wonderful collection. I love the way how the different sizes of glitters are combinated. I adore the cuteness of Tickled (perfect name!), but I am very curious about Frozen and Round Of Applause, because I do not own anything like it.

  10. The movie Frozen is awesome! I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting to, although I do usually enjoy animated movies. Very amusing.

And that polish! Wow, I'm not normally a large glitter person, but Frozen looks amazing! And since I often wear dark bases, its nice to know it looks so great over black. :)
