Nubar Crushed Candy Collection Swatches

Happy Friday! Today I have a new collection Nubar called Crushed Candy to share with you, this collection is 8 gorgeous matte glitters. You can wear all of these alone or layered, I prefer them layered but if you work them up to full opacity they look a lot like Floam! I feel like we saw so many of these kinds of glitters from indie brands a while back and it's nice to see a more mainstream brand embracing them! I don't think it's any secret that I love these kinds of glitters, so these are right up my alley! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

The formula was fairly consistent across the board, they can be a little thick due to the dense glitter but I found all of them were easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great. For all but 1 of the swatches I used Dance Legend Nox, I also used GlitterDaze Super Smooth top coat over all of the manis. All photos are in natural sunlight.

Apple Pucker Crush is small lime green glitter and slightly larger neon yellow glitter in a clear base.

Berry Blue Crush is small blue glitter and pink hex glitter in a clear base.

Cotton Candy Crush is small pink glitter and blue hex glitter in a clear base.

Lemon Lime Crush is small neon yellow glitter and lime green hex glitter in a clear base. In photos this looks almost identical to Apple Pucker Crush but in person the difference is more noticeable.

Orange Slice Crush is small orange glitter and pink hex glitter in a clear base.

Rock Candy Crush is small satin white glitter and black hex glitter in a clear base. I used this one over OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? for the photos below.

Strawberry Lemonade is small yellow glitter and pink hex glitter in a clear base.

Watermelon Crush is small pink glitter and yellow hex glitter in a clear base.

Overall I am a fan of these, I love fun glitters like this and they are so versatile. Even though I put most of them over black for the photos they look great over a variety of shades. My picks are Rock Candy Crush, Berry Blue Crush and Orange Slice Crush.

Nubar can be found at ByNubar.com, you can get all 8 in a set for $56 or you can get them individually for $8.

  1. Those are neat! Would be cool to see them with a matte top coat!

  2. Oooo these are interesting... I might have to snag one to see how I feel about them.

  3. Such fun glitter toppers! And a real treat to see Nubar polishes swatched!

  4. These are some seriously fun glitters! I usually shy away from glitters due to the fact that they're a PITA to remove, but these ones look like they're worth the effort!

  5. My favorite of these is Orange Slice Crush.
