Zoya Spring 2014 Awaken Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have the Awaken Collection from Zoya for Spring 2014 to share with you. This collection is all kinds of perfect for Spring, full of shimmers and cremes in a nice almost pastel palette! I was excited about this collection mostly because 3 of the shimmers are similar in finish to one of my favorite Zoya polishes, Zuza, and they didn't disappoint! As always, if there are any comparisons you'd like to see for this collection let me know in the comments! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Brooklyn is described by Zoya as a full coverage white-gold metallic shimmer. I didn't think I'd like this based on gold not usually working on my skin tone but this one is nice and it looks pretty ok on me! It does show some brushstrokes but they weren't as apparent in person as they are in photos. The formula was great, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Cole is a peachy orange creme, a bit of a creamsicle kind of shade. I love oranges like this, I find that they are easy to wear and they work with  my ghostly-ness. The formula was a bit challenging, it was streaky and I had some issues with it wanting to even out. I ended up using 2 thin coats and a thick 3 coat to get it looking good

Dillon is a light minty green shimmer. This is like the light minty version of Zuza. The formula was ok, it was a bit sheer but it was easy to build. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Dot is a light pink creme. The formula was also challenging on this one, it was sheer and streaky. I ended up needing 4 coats to get it opaque and even.

Hudson is a light/medium dusty purple shimmer. The formula was good, it was a little thick but in a good way that made application easy. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade
Rebel is a light blue shimmer. I love how this one looks in lower lighting, like in the shade. It almost has a denim kind of look to it because of the shimmer. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Overall I like this collection, it definitely makes me think of Spring! My picks are Dillon, Hudson and Rebel!

Zoya's Awaken Collection is available at now, each polish retails for $9.00

    Hudson & Dillon <3

  2. I only have Dot from this collection. I had a terrible time with it, and it looked crazy on my hands (stark). Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't just me.

  3. Love Dillon! So pretty

Will you be getting and swatching the OPI MLB Fashion Plate collection? It came out a few days ago but I've heard nobody talking about it! OPI is barely even promoting it! I've been practically stalking the Google results for it waiting for some reviews to come out LOL

  4. I just got Hudson, Rebel, and Dillon (Dillon was free with their St Patrick's Day Promo, yay!). LOVE them. The colors and sparkling shimmer finishes are beautiful! :D I'm also very happy that Dillon does not give me 'lobster hands'. It's the perfect minty for my very fair skin tone! <3

  5. I've seen them, but I feel like they look like repeated colors. I did like "Girls like Diamonds" (or something along the lines). I saw them at a beauty supply store in Chinatown-LA. Hopefully, others will start swatches of them :)

  6. Do you own Sinful Colors Purple Diamond? I think it could be a close dupe for Hudson.
