Dance Legend Candy Flakes Collection Swatches

Hi guys! Today I have another Dance Legend Collection to share with you! This is the Candy Flakes Collection which is made up of 6 flakie filled jellies. I'm a big fan of flakies but lately I've been kinda burned out on them, this collection pretty much made me fall back in love with them!  Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Bite Tonight is red/orange/gold flakies in a deep red base. It looks like the base is black once you build it up but I promise, it's red! The formula was good, it was the most opaque of the collection. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Final Fantasy blue/green flakies in a purple base loaded with red shimmer. This is one of my favorites, I love depth of the flakies and the red shimmer! The formula was good, it was on the sheer side but it built easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lollypop is a bright pink jelly base with gold/orange flakies. I like how this one is a bit of a chameleon, going from very bright pink out in the sun to a nice coral in the shade. The formula was good, but on the sheer side. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Sun Still Sleeps is a dark blue jelly with orange/gold/green flakies. This is my favorite of bunch, I'm actually wearing it right now and have been since Sunday! This looks more sheer in the sun photo than it is in person. The formula was good, sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Sweetest Thing is a bright orange jelly with golden flakies. This is nice and juicy looking, perfect for summer! The formula was good, a bit sheer but easily buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Tinsel is a blue toned green jelly with orange/gold flakies.  This one also wasn't as sheer looking in person. The formula was good, sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Tinsel, Sun Still Sleeps, and Bite Tonight are beautiful! Both in the sunlight and in the shade!

I love Dance Legend! These are the best shots I've seen of these so far, because you can really see the flakies well.

  9. I'm a fairly new nail addict. I wasn't around when the flakies were at their peak and so many great flakie toppers, now discontinued, were available. I love these polishes with the flakies in them, and really hope those beautiful flakie topcoats come back into fashion!

  18. I just received the mini set. Even though the bottles are small, it's awesome to be able to try all 4 colors! I find them very glossy and not too thick, just like a good jelly.

  19. First I would like to thank you for great swatches. Second, could You make a comparison with Dot and similar colors? This was one of the first baby pink colors that I fell in love with, but I hate the formula. I would love to find a same color with better formula. Thanks :)

  20. I love how "floaty" the glitter is in the jelly sandwich. Beautiful. Do you know of any comparable sheer tints that currently exist, either from an OPI competitor or an indie maker? I guess any jelly could count, but these seem so much more sheer than the usual jelly. Thanks for all your hard work and endless swatching, you always seem to have pics of what I want to see.
