Serum No. 5 SS14 Part 1 Collection Swatches

Hi guys!Today I have the Serum No. 5 SS14 Part 1 Collection for ya! This collection is full of glow in the dark cremes and glitter and a couple regular glitters. I was excited about this collection because of all the glow in the dark cremes. I have no many nail art ideas in mind for them, be on the lookout for some of those hopefully coming to fruition soon! In the meantime check out all the swatches after the jump!

Awesome Blossom is a pastel pink creme that glows violet in the dark. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had very minor streakyness. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Blue Blazes is a light blue pastel creme that glows aqua blue in the dark. The glow is super strong with this one, I couldn't believe it when I walked into the dark with this one on! The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. There were some minor streaks on the first coat but nothing that wasn't covered with the 2nd coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Blushed and Flushed is a pink crelly packed with silver and pink glitter. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and more opaque than I expected. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

G.I. Miss You is white, copper/brown, green and black glitter in a shimmery base. This glitter glows green on the dark! The formula was good, it was a little bit on the thick side but the glitter payoff was great and I had no issues with application. I used 1 coat over Lights Out for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade
Doesn't it look neat when you layer glow in the dark polishes that glow different colors?!? I love the outcome!

Glowin' of Eden is a pastel green creme that glows teal. The glow was a bit more green leaning in person, not as green as G.I. Miss You but more green than it's appearing in my photo. The formula was good, there was minor streakyness but it was nothing major and easy to cover. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Laven-Daringly Bright is a lavender pastel creme that glows violet in the dark. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I had no issues with it! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lights Out is a black creme that glows blue in the dark. Due to the glow in the dark pigment it looks to have a little shimmer to it out in the sun! The formula was good, it was a touch sheer on the first coat but completely opaque with the second. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lilac It? I Love It! is a lavender crelly with purple and silver glitter. The formula was good, it was a little sheer but it built easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Pure Glow Getter is a white creme that glows white in the dark. This is a favorite for me, the glow is so pretty. It's white but it also has a bit of a multicolored look to it! The formula was good, it was a little streaky but I had no issues getting it to even out. I used 3 coats for the photos below. I did notice that this one smelled a little stronger than the other polishes in the collection, most likely it's just the pigment but thought I'd mention it!

Silver Lining is a grey creme that glows aqua blue in the dark. The formula of this one was fantastic. it flowed so nicely onto the nail and was pretty much opaque in 1 coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Some Bunny Loves You is pastel glitter topper in a holographic shimmery base. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Silver Lining for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Overall I really love the collection, I love all the glow in the dark cremes. I like how Victoria made good basics like black and white but they are special because of the glow! My picks are Pur Glow Getter, Blue Blazes, Awesome Blossom and Silver Lighting.

The SS14 Part 1 Collection will be available for regular purchase mid-April on SerumNo5.com, for international customers you can find Serum No. 5 at several etailers including Harlow & Co. For a full list of international etailers check out the Serum No. 5 site here.
