Happy Friday! Anyone have any fun plans this weekend? Today Degen is getting his teeth cleaned, I'm a nervous wreck because of it. They put him under anesthesia for it and I seriously worry like a crazy person because of it. Hopefully he won't need any teeth pulled or anything...I'll be happy when it's over, I'm sure he will too haha!
Today I have the new MLB Collection from OPI to share with you. OPI has teamed up with Major League Baseball to release a 7 piece collection inspired by the sport. I'm not much of a baseball person to be honest. I've been to a few games, I vividly remember going to an Angels game with my parents when I was a kid and being stung by a pack of bees when I was trying to catch a foul ball. Other than that my only memories of baseball games are going to games and eating hot dogs and drinking beer...I guess that's what you are supposed to do there? Anyway, check out all the swatches & reviews after the jump!
7th Inning Strrretch is a dark frosty blue. This is a little more frosty than I love but not quite as frosty as it's looking in photos. The brush strokes were not as obvious in person and my camera was making them out to be. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Girls Love Diamonds is a white shimmer. This can be worn on its own or layered, I prefer it on it's own personally. The formula was good but on the sheer side, it was easy to build up to full opacity in 3 coats.
Love Athletes In Cleats is a red creme with a subtle shimmer. The shimmer is pretty hidden, but at the right angle in the sun it was visible. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Orange You Going To The Game? is an orange frost. This one just isn't for me but if you don't mind frosty shades you might like it. The formula was good, it does show brush strokes, the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Right Off The Bat is a slightly frosty blue shimmer. The frost in this one was the most subtle of the frosty shades in the collection. The brush strokes were pretty minimal and not as noticeable in person as in photos. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Short-Stop! is a red creme. The formula was great, it was a really nice consistency. It applied really easily and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Umpires Come Out At Night is a dark blue creme. This dries super shiny as you can see in my photos, it decided to reflect every single cloud in the sky lol! The formula was good, it was a tiny bit patchy of the first coat but the 2nd coat covered it up. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
OPI's MLB Collection will be available April 2014, suggested retail price is $9.
