piCture pOlish Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection from piCture pOlish to share with you. These were just recently released for everyone to buy, previously they were only available in Australia when you went to the touring Rocky Horror Picture Show. I know I was lemming a couple of these so I was excited when piCture pOlish announced they had gotten the ok to sell them worldwide. I've never actually seen the whole Rocky Horror movie but I have been to a live performance of it a few years back and that had to be one of the most entertaining things I've been too! Anyway, check out all the swatches after the jump!

Columbia is a red jelly base loaded with red shimmer and glitter. This is my favorite of the collection, it's pretty much a jelly sandwich in a bottle. The formula was great, it wasn't thick and the opacity was really nice. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Frank-n-furter  is a red cruelly. This has a nice squishy look once it dries but the opacity was great and it was nice and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Magenta is a dark brown toned red cruelly. This is pretty dark but you can tell that it's maroon and not black out in the sun or in good lighting indoors. The formula was great, it was easy to apply and the opacity was really nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Rocky is a gold glitter topper. The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was good. I think you could probably work this up to being opaque on it's own if you wanted to wear it that way. I used 1 coat over Frank-n-furter for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Time Warp is blue shimmer in a blackened base. In the bottle I thought this would be my favorite but the shimmer wasn't quite as pronounced as I had hope it would be on the nail. It's still super pretty but I do wish the shimmer was more easily visible without needing full sunlight. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Rocky Horror Collection from piCture pOlish is available now! You can find piCture pOlish at picturepolish.com.au. They also have a network of etailers all over the world, you can find a list on their website here.

  3. I know Girly Bits will be releasing Darkly Dreaming, she isn't sure about if it will be a perm color or not. As soon as I have info about when it will be for sale I'll post about it. The other ones I'm not sure about, it's up to the makers :)

  9. So I have Time Warp on my nails right now. Did you get the purple in the shimmer or is it just me? It looks like blurple shimmer on my nails when visible. Love your swatches too!

  10. Mine looked blue most of the time but different kinds of light might make it look more blurple!

  11. This collection is so boring. Talk about hype! Who spends this much for a printed name on a bottle? Which by the way are so small! Picture Polish is lucky to have so many fans/suckers who want to spend their money on their polish!

  15. Rocky Horror is such a fun inspiration for a collection! Wish there was one called Dammit, Janet! I would be all over that no matter what color it was! My pick would be Columbia, as well.
