piCture pOlish Urban Shades Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Hope you're all having a good day so far, I am! I got to leave Degen at home today, which was a nice change. He's been going to day boarding every day because of the remodeling at the house. He loved it because he gets showered with attention but I hated it because I worry about him haha! I imagine that right now he's probably laying on his little bed passed out...rough life.

Today I have the 4 new Urban Shades from piCture pOlish to share with you. These 4 polishes are all gorgeous cremes. These will be available starting on Monday, April 14th. I know that a lot of people don't get excited about cremes, but I do. I am always a sucker for a good creme and they are pretty fantastic, in my opinion! Check out all the swatches & reviews after the jump!

Formula wise all 4 of these were fantastic. The consistency was fabulous, they applied like butter and were super easy to control. The opacity was great on all 4, even the yellow, I used 2 coats for all of my swatches but 1 would probably be fine if you're careful! All photos are without top coat and in natural sunlight.

Bonkers is a magenta creme. It's a bit muted but bright at the same time.

Chillax is a minty blue/green. Depending on your skin tone and the light you're in it can lean either towards blue or green...on me it leaned more blue but I've seen other swatches that lean more green so that's something to be aware of.

Swagger is a periwinkle blue creme.

Totes is an orangey yellow. My favorite of the 4, it's a nice wearable yellow and the formula was seriously fantastic which is always a hard thing to find in a yellow polish!

The Urban Shades from piCture pOlish will launch on April 14th! You can find piCture pOlish at picturepolish.com.au. They also have a network of etailers all over the world, you can find a list on their website here.

  5. Love Athletes in Cleats is really the only one I like and I'm still not sure I'd buy it. The frosty shades are kind of icky.

  6. Again, another underwhelming collection from OPI. I feel like they are phoning it in this year. Hope they step it up for fall and winter...

Love the swatches as always! I am not into frosty shades either and these are pretty common colors, but I know my mother would love it. Did they come in a mini set too?

  16. I hate having my dog anesthetized, too! So nerve-wracking! But dental health is important, after all.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that most (if not all) collections anymore by OPI have at least one red creme in it? And TWO frosted blue shades in this one. Seriously OPI?? I agree with some of the others on here--just not impressed at all. Although I do think it's funny and rather cute you happened to catch the cloud reflections in your last polish. :)

  19. I hate it also, I worry so much. I was so relieved when they called me to tell me he was done and doing great. Gotta clean those teeth though, he needed it pretty bad!

Aw! I'd like to buy one O.P.I. polish in my country, but I must admit it's really more expensive than in others... It costs over €15 each lacquer.

  23. omg these polishes look to die for....Picture Polish is really hitting it out of the proverbial ball (or rugby) park so far this year. I think I totes need Totes (har har)....do you know how similar it is to China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin?

  25. Girls Love Diamonds is my favorite but I also like Umpires Come Out At Night and Love Athletes in Cleats.

I'm OBSESSED with baseball, but I'm completely passing on this collection :(
I feel like we have seen ALL these colors tons of times, and if they are going to say there are colors in support of ALL the teams then there are a LOT missing.
Sorry but this is a giant miss. I'm becoming less excited about OPI this year with every collection. I hope they have something good planned for the fall and Holidays....
