Glam Polish Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a new Glam Polish collection for you called Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend. This collection is inspired by Marilyn Monroe and all of the polishes are gorgeous mixtures of holo, glass fleck and micro glitter. If you  like sparkle then you'll love all 6 of these! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Bye Bye Baby is a bright blue with a subtle holo along with blue micro glitter and glass flecks. I didn't have any issues with staining but Rachel from Glam Polish said that it could happen with this shade, so make sure to use a base coat if you get this one! The formula was good, a little sheer but easily buildable and opaque in 3 coats. I used top coat for my swatches!

I Found A Dream is a gorgeous blue toned green with a subtle holo, green micro glitter and glass flecks. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

I'm Through With Love is a rich grape purple with a subtle holo, micro glitter and a nice glass fleck. The formula was great on this one also, easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Incurably Romantic is a dark pink with a subtle holo, micro glitter and glass flecks. The formula was again, really nice. I had no issues with application and it was opaque in 2 coats. I used top coat for my swatches.

Runnin' Wild is an indigo with a subtle holo, micro glitter and glass flecks. This is much more blue toned than I'm Through With Love but it does lean towards purple, if that makes sense. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

That Old Black Magic is a black with a subtle holo, micro glitter and glass flecks. This is my personal favorite of the collection, I feel like the sparkle stands out the best in this one! The formula again was really good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

  7. I wonder if Down to the Core-al is a dupe or a kissing cousin to OPI's Shoot-out at the OK Coral. I have a cherished black label bottle of Shoot-out...oh, I'd love a dupe of it!

  9. This collection pretty much killed minis for me. The difficulties I have with the brushes really outweigh how much $ I save on the little bottles. Meh.

Dumb question - can you buy just ...brushes? That match the stiffness and size of the brushes found in full-size bottles?

  10. I don't know of anywhere that you can just purchase brushes like that, sorry! Wish I could be more helpful

  12. I've used them without a base coat and I think they look pretty good; Life Gave Me Lemons is still as bright as it could be, so I would say the base coat is completely optional.

  13. I recently bought OPI Angel With A Lead Foot and I love it so much more than the other OPI whites as a basecoat.

  16. I save (and clean, obvi) brushes I like from my empties to replace the ones I don't like. I also use old brushes and cut them for different nail art effects.

You can also purchase new caps with brushes online from places like ebottles or other sources that supply packaging for your own polish frankens (custom polish blends). Many of those sources sell other packaging for DIY lipbalms, soaps, fragrances, etc. so do an online search for those types of suppliers. Hope this helps! (Sorry for the late reply but I just read Jen's post today after scoring some of these neons on sale today! I ALWAYS come back here to refresh my memory on her impressions and especially her swatches!!) <3
