Saturday Spam: MIlani

Hi guys! Hope you're all having a nice weekend so far! Today I have a little bit of Saturday Spam for you! I feel like it's been a while since I did a Saturday Spam post...I just haven't had time lately for them :( Hopefully that'll change soon!

Today's Saturday Spam is full of Milani, I believe these are new core shades for 2014 but I might be mistaken about that.  Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Canyon Country is a terra cotta kind of orangey red creme. I really like this shade, I wasn't sure about it in the bottle but on the nail it's pretty...I think it'll be great for Fall! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was really nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Cupid's Touch is a bright pink creme. This isn't a neon but it's nice and bright! The formula was great, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was really good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Golden Romance is pink hex glitter in a very heavy gold micro glitter base. This is much more opaque than I expected it to be, I tried to layer it at first but it was a bit too dense for that. I used 3 coats on its own for the photos below.

Heather is a purply taupe creme. It's been a while since I've worn a shade like this, back when I started getting into polish this color was all the rage and I seriously own like 10 polishes that are probably close dupes to this. I still do really like the color and if you don't have anything similar this is a good one! The formula was great, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Iced Mango is a shimmery red orange. I really like the golden flash that the shimmer has. The formula was good, and the opacity was fantastic. It dries down to almost be a foil, but not quite. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Mauve Medley is a dark reddish/purplish/brown. I don't know that the name really fits the color of this one but it's nice and flattering on and it'll be a good base for glitters. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the consistency was nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Mulberry Sugar is a dark reddish brown shimmer. This one is also a bit foil like, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Peach Innocence is a peach creme. The formula was good, for the most part, I did have some issues with it looking clumpy but that could be me using too thick of a coat when I was polishing. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Vanilla Almond is a beige/tan creme. This is a good alternative to white and a good office safe color if you need something like that for your job. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Please excuse the bumps on the tips of my nails...Degen saw a squirrel in the backyard as I was walking out to photo this shade and he ran me down to get out there. Long story short I banged my hand on the door lol

White is a white creme. I bet you never would have guessed that from the name! This is a nice stark bright white. The formula was good, it was a touch streky but not too bad. I used 3 coats to even it out.

Milani is available at most drugstores like CVS, price varies depending on where you buy from!

  1. Lovely collection! How do you do this spams without making your cuticules suffer? I make two manis in a row and they look so dry and full of little peels... Regards!

  3. Beautiful colors (I already want 4 of them!)! :) I wonder: how would "Mauve Medley" compare to "OPI Scores a Goal"?
Also, I don't know how much you consider those issues, but I found some information on the Web concerning the fact that, while Milani USED TO BE completely cruelty-free, they might not be anymore, as of recently. Do you have any information about that?
Thanks again for your superb swatches!

  5. If they're not chasing critters when our nails are wet, they're shedding into wet polish or sticking their noses into the camera! :-D

Pretty colors, thanks for the swatches!

  8. I think Golden Romance is my favorite. I love the sparkle! The purple one called Heather looks to be a perfect dupe for Zoya's Odette.

  9. Golden romance reminds me a lot of an AEngland one, but I can't remember the name of it. Would be great to see a comparison of those two. Terracotta isn't a polish colour you see a lot of - very original. The 'squirrel' sorry reminds me of the film Up, lol :-)

  10. Love all Milani polishes and colors. I was SO bummed to learn yesterday that they are no longer cruelty free, though, so I won't be indulging until they change their policy. Boo. Oh well, there are so many fab cruelty-free polish brands out there, it's not too much of a sacrifice.

  11. Mulberry Sugar is so pretty! Might try and grab that when I'm in the US later this year!
