Sunny's Body Products Hand Care Review

Hi guys! Today I have a bit of a different post for you. No nail polish swatches but some nail care/hand care goodies that I'm excited to share with you! During the last NailGlossip chat on twitter the topic of cuticle balm came up and someone asked why most balms were always lemon scented. I mentioned that I had heard of an indie company that made cuticle balms in a ton of difference scents and after talking about it for a little bit we discovered that the brand was 365 Days of Color.

A few days after that chat I was having one of those nights where I just couldn't sleep so I decided to do some online shopping. I ended up over on the 365 Days of Color shop and found her list of scents offered then pretty much threw my money at her. Right now there are 5 different hand/nail care items offered: Intensive Cuticle Therapy, Hand Scrub, Hand Lotion, Cuticle Balm and Cuticle Oil. All 5 products can be customized with whatever scent you choose from the massive list of fragrance oils linked in each listing.

Needless to say I was a bit overwhelmed with all my scent choices so I was happy to see that not only could you get everything in full sized but you could also get samplers of each product. The samplers each come with 3 smaller sized bottles/jars of the product. I ended up getting samplers of the Hand Scrub, Cuticle Balm and Intensive Cuticle Therapy. The sample sizes are seriously SO generous, not only it is a great way to get to try multiple scents but you get a lot of use out of each sample.

For the Intensive Cuticle Therapy sampler I decided on the scents Old Spice, Twilight Wood and Monkey Farts.

The Intensive Cuticle Therapy comes in a glass vial kind of bottle and it has a dropper that you use to put the product onto your cuticles.

The scents I got were:

Old Spice: blend of citrus, rose & jasmine, close, vanilla and leather. I ended up giving this one to my Dad...it seemed more like a "Dad" scent than a "Jen" scent. He has issues with really dry skin on his fingers so I'm hoping it helps him!

Twilight Woods: Top notes of mandarin balm, tangelo and eucalyptus followed by middle notes of jungle moss, patchouli leaf and sandal tree laying on base notes of red wood forest, amber glow and musk. I got this one because I love the Bath & Body Works scent by the same name. The oil smells pretty darn close to the BBW scent so I am a happy camper!

Monkey Farts: a blend of bananas, fresh grapefruit, strawberries, kiwi, bubble gum and a touch of vanilla. Mostly I got this for the name...but it actually smells pretty darn awesome!

Overall I really like the Intensive Cuticle Therapy...they are made with all sorts of great oils like coconut oil, flax seed oil, argan oil and more so they are super moisturizing. The past few nights I've been slathering on Monkey Farts after using one of the scrubs I bought then slipping on cotton gloves and my hands feel amazing when I get up in the morning!

Next up is the Miracle Balm sampler. The scents I picked were Hawaiian Lei, Red Hot Cinnamon and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. These samples sizes are pretty darn big, I use balms multiple times a day and even doing that these will take me a long while to get through.

The consistency of the Miracle Balm is very similar to the Burts Bees Cuticle Balm. It kind of feels like lip balm. I use it by lightly digging the top of a nail across the top then I massage it into my cuticles.

All of the balms are the same color despite being different scents. Below is a description of the scents I got.

Hawaiian Lei: a blend of gardenia and plumeria with top citrus notes of orange and lime ending with base notes of vanilla. This scent is too die for, I am obsessed with it. I've been keeping this one on my desk at work to use throughout the day!

Red Hot Cinnamon: just like the popular candy. This does in fact smell just like red hots. I'm a big fan of cinnamon-y scents so that's why I picked this one up. It's not quite as strong as I was hoping it would be but I think as I use it I might fall more in love with it.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries: ripe red strawberries covered in rich creamy chocolate. This really does smell exactly like you think it would. It's super decadent and one that you will seriously consider eating.

I really love how the balms (and the scrubs) have all of their ingredients listed on the labels. You can see all the fantastic stuff that goes into these! I think its interesting that these balms contain Biotin and Garlic oil...they are great for nail health and it's nice to have something that I enjoy using contain stuff like that.

Overall I LOVE the Miracle Balms I got. I will for sure be ordering more in different scents. They don't feel greasy and they sink in quickly while still being extremely moisturizing. Not only that but the scent lingers for hours, seriously. The other day I put on Hawaiian Lei when I got to work and I could still smell it after lunch even after washing my hands!

Last but not least are the Sugar Hand Scrub Samplers. I love sugar scrubs so I couldn't pass these up. My favorite hand pampering routine is to massage a nice thick lotion onto my hands (I typically use Lush Lemony Flutter) then I follow it with a hand scrub that I massage in for a few minutes (feels amazing!), then I rinse it all off and apply a thin layer of whatever lotion I used to start with. It will leave your hands so incredibly soft, if you've never tried doing something like that I highly recommend it!

The scents of scrubs I got are Donut Shop, Hippy Christmas and Loganberry.

Donut Shop: the scent of fresh baked donuts when you walk into your favorite donut shop. This is such a yummy bakery scent. This is was by far the favorite of the office when I brought all of these goodies to work to show the other girls.

Hippy Christmas: an earthy blend of fresh patchouli, herbal sandalwood, with hints of strawberry and raspberry with a down of fresh vanilla and peppermint. This is such an unusual scent, I really enjoy it...to me I smell the strawberry and raspberry the most but it has a nice earthy background to it that is really nice.

Loganberry: a sweet aromatic scent, somewhat like very sweet strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and black currants. This was another office favorite, I really enjoy this one also. Seems like I was really feeling the fruity smells when I made this order haha!

included with the scrubs are Popsicle sticks that you use to mix the scrubs. These do need a good mix before using them.

This is how the scrub looks like when you get it and below is what it looks like after you mix it. I really loved these scrubs because they are so dense, you don't need a lot so even the sample size will last you a fair amount of uses.

Overall for the scrubs I love them. I will definitely be ordering more of these in the future!

Needless to say I am a big huge fan of everything I got and will be trying more in the future. There are so many amazing scents that I want to get and I'm excited to try out her Hand Lotion since I am a lotion-aholic. Not only was everything great but this stuff was super affordable so you aren't going to be breaking the bank to pamper your hands and nails. Also wanted to mention that the shipping was incredibly fast, I put in my order at like midnight on a Thursday and everything had already shipped by Noon on Friday.

These sound amazing, finally a cuticle balm that doesn't smell like lemons (or grossness)!! The Hawaiian Lei scent is right up my street, and would probably encourage me to moisturise my cuticles more. I need to put in an order, thank you so much for the review!! :)

  5. She only shut down the polish side of her store, the hand care items will be restocked and still be sold

lol Love the name Monkey Farts. This was the perfect post for me because I need to take better care of my nails. Thank you!

  8. Yeah, I'll be needing some of these products! Especially the balms, they sound wonderful!

  9. I LOVE the Miracle Balm! Those little tubs last me for ages... I'm almost close to finishing one but I started it in January. My favorite scents are Strawberry, Peach Nectar (smells like candy peach rings!), and Blood Orange and Ginger Bergamot.

  10. You said the consistency of the miracle balms is similar to Burts Bees. Does that mean they have the gritty/grainy bits too? I love that.

  11. Nope, it's completely smooth. I've never noticed any gritty bits in burts bees, but it's been a long time since I've used it

  12. Wow. Thanks for this review! Her sample sizes are indeed generous. I think I will be ordering some samples for Christmas for gifts.
