Different Dimension Summer 2014 Sea You On The Other Tide Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Summer 2014 Collection from Different Dimension called Sea You On The Other Tide to share with you! This collection is being released this Friday at 10pm EST so I wanted to get swatches up for you in case you were planning on buying any! This collection is full of glitter toppers, beautiful shimmers, crelly glitters and jelly glitters. Pretty much all the glitters haha! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Call Me On My Shell is a shimmery white crelly with coral, aqua and grey glitter. I love the color combo, it's very summery but subdued! The formula was on the thick side but I had no issues with application, this was also sheer but it built easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Friends Anemones is a sheer shimmery grey base with lime green and blue matte glitter. I wasn't so sure of this one in the bottle but I really like how it ended up looking on the nail. The formula was pretty thick, this one did give me issues with application so I ended up thinning it and that helped a ton. This is sheer but buildable, you could also layer it if you wanted a more opaque look. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Indepen-dance! is  red, white and blue glitter in all kinds of shapes in a clease base with a spindle of holo. This polish is LE for Independence Day and it's definitely very patriotic! The formula was good, it was a little thick but easy to apply and very glitter dense. It was easy to get a lot of glitter onto the nail and I didn't have to dab to get good coverage. I used 1 coat over Elevation Polish Weddell Sea for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

It Was On Sail is pink, black and white glitter long with a bit of holo dust in a clear base. This baby is packed with glitter, like you could easily get it opaque in 2 coats. Because of how dense it is the formula is thick but since I was layering it I had no issues applying it. I used 1 coats, plus top coat, over Essie Haute In The Heat. This did dry with some texture but it was smooth with a coat of top coat.

Lighting: Shade
Keep Urchin Up is a shimmer lilac crelly with turquoise and neon pink glitter. I really like this one, the color combo is another winner in my eyes. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the consistency was nice. It was sheer but it built easily and was opaque in 3 coats.

Lighting: Shade

Nautilus You Say So is a neon green jelly loaded with yellow and gold glitter. This is my favorite of the collection, it is SO bright and the glitter is great swimming around in the neon base. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and not thick. It was a bit sheer but it built and was opaque in 3 coats. You can see a little bit of nail line in the photos but I couldn't see it in person.

Wave If You Sea Me is a cobalt blue with green shimmer. Another favorite, I'm sure you all saw that coming, I love my blues! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below. This does dry a bit matte so I used top coat!

You've Gotta Be Squiding Me is a coral jelly with neon pink shimmer. This was very bright but not as neon or bright as Nautilus You Say So. The formula was good but on the sheer side due to the jelly base. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Overall I really enjoy this collection, it's got a nice variety in colors and I can see myself wearing several of them again! My favorites are Nautilus You Say So and Wave If You Sea Me!

The Sea You On The Other Tide Collection will be available at https://www.etsy.com/shop/DIFFERENTdimension on Friday June 20th at 10pm EST!

  1. I secretly don't really like glitters all that much, but I have to say that Indepen-dance! is so unique and gorgeous that I love it!

  4. Oh my gosh I can't believe they did this!!!!!! Pacific Blue is (was) one of my favorite polishes… I guess I'm going to have to cherish the bit that's left in my bottle. Such a shame.
