FingerPaints Poolside Paradise Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Today I have a gorgeous FingerPaints collection called Poolside Paradise to share with you! This collection is out for June at Sally Beauty stores! The Poolside Paradise Collection is made up of 6 gorgeous metallic shimmers in a rainbow of colors. If you like shimmers you'll probably need to pick all of these up, they are seriously fabulous! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Aloha Lei is an orange shimmer with a bit of a golden touch to it. The formula was ok, it was a little thick but I had no issues with application. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Be My Baby is a bright red toned pink. The formula was a bit thick on this one also but again very easy to apply and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Hula Aruba! is a bright yellow shimmer. This is my favorite of the collection, it's such a perfect yellow for summer and the shimmer is gorgeous! The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. It was more opaque than I expected it to be but I did need 3 coats for full opacity.

Lighting: Shade

Margarita Mambo is a light green shimmer. I thought I was going to love this one but I don't really love it on the nail like I thought I would. I feel like it needs something...like more of a wow or something. The formula was the most tricky of the bunch, it was thin and watery..it was also the most sheer of the collection. I used 2 thin coats and 1 thick coat for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade
Surf's Up is a bright blue shimmer. This has a touch of a purple duochrome to it but every picture I tried to take of it turned out blurry. The formula was good, it was easy to work with and the opacity was nice. I used 2 coats on some nails and 3 on others to get it opaque.

Wild Bikini is a rich grape purple shimmer. This one has a bit of a blue duochrome, hopefully you can see it in the shade photo below! The formula was good, it was a little thick but easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Overall I really like this collection, the shimmers are so pretty! My picks are Hula Aruba! and Wild Bikini!

FingerPaints is available exclusively at Sally Beauty stores and SallyBeauty.com!

  2. These kind of look like the Color Club Take Wing collection from a few years ago.

  3. It reminds me somewhat of the Island Escape collection from China Glaze or the Take Wing collection from Color Club - all gorgeous, of course! I have the China Glaze set (minus the yellow), but we'll see if I can resist these when I'm next in Sally's. ;) Thank you for the swatches!

  4. I'm not terribly fond of metallics... The blue is almost tempting though.

  6. These remind me a lot of the Zoya Bubbly collection. Gorgeous!

  7. Four of these look like dupes from this summer's Butter London Lolly Brights Collection. Chuffed (orange), Lolly (pinky-red), Stroppy (purple) and Airy Fairy (blue).

  8. If you do any comparisons with these I'd love to see OPI Grape...Set...Match next to the purple one.

I was thinking Color Club Take Wing myself, especially the orange, yellow, and blue. Very pretty though, and it's hard to resist when Finger Paints are BOGO there in June!
