Nicole by OPI Summer 2014 Seize The Summer Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a new Summer 2014 Collection from Nicole by OPI to share with you called Sieze The Summer! Nicole by OPI is releasing 3 bright summery cremes along with a glitter topper! Check out all the swatches after the jump and make sure to let me know in the comments of any comparisons you'd like to see!

Lay It On The Lime is a bright yellow toned green. This is very yellow toned but it still reads green on the nail, I think if you're a darker skin tone than I am it will look even more green on you. The formula was good, it was a little streaky but that was very minor and even to cover. I used 3 coats to even it out.

Leapink For Joy is a bright pink creme. This is much brighter in person, my camera couldn't seem to accurately capture just how bright it was. It's not neon but about as bright as you can get without being neon.  The formula was good, I liked the consistency and the streakyness was very minor. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shaved Nice is a white and silver glitter topped that has little pops of multicolored hex glitter. This does look to be a dupe of OPI Muppets World Tour so if you wanted that and missed out when it was on shelves now is your chance to get it. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over The Coral Of The Story!

Lighting: Shade

The Coral Of The Story is a coral creme. This is a nice orangey toned coral, perfect for summer and flattering on most skin tones! The formula was great, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Seize The Summer Collection will be available in stores beginning June 2014 for $7.99 each at retailers including select Fred Meyer, CVS, Duane Reade, H-E-B, Ulta, Harmon, Kmart locations. In Canada, these shades will be available for $10.99 each at select Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart and Target Canada

  1. Gorgeous swatches. I like them all, but I own a few of the NOPI and the bottles just turn me off.

  3. Love them! I hate how they are $3 more in Canada. What a rip off. :(

  4. That lime shade seems to be a real trend color this year :). The Coral Of The Story is my favorite here, nice and bright!

  6. I totally agree. It's exasperating. Seeing as though many cosmetics are price-prohibitive in Canada, I have started going to the U.S. to buy. Lots of sales & coupons there too! Those lime and glitter polishes are beautiful! I think the lime is a great shade on your skintone, Jen!

  7. Shaved Nice and Muppets World Tour aren't exact dupes, IIRC. However, I think the only difference is a color change in one of the larger-sized pieces of glitter. Shaved Nice looks more "multicolored" than MWT. Definitely not different enough to justify owning both unless you buy for names, which is primarily why I picked up this one.

  8. Jen, what other shades do you think "Shaved Nice" would look good over? I just got a bottle of it.

  9. I think it would look nice over pretty much anything since it has so much whir glitter in it!

  11. lol I actually really like the bottles, compared to the REvlon Brilliant Strength line, for example, and I love the NOPI brushes! but to each their own, right?
