Dance Legend Caviar Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a bunch of Dance Legend polishes to share with you. These are from the Caviar Collection which is all jelly based polishes packed with small black & white matte glitter. About half of the collection are called "shine" and have a nice amount of metallic shimmer along with the black & white matter glitter. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

All of the swatches in this post are with top coat, KBShimmer Clearly On Top to be exact. These do dry with a tiny bit of texture (but not much) so you may need a couple coats of top coat to smooth it out completely. All pictures in this post are in natural sunlight.

Amphipoda is a reddish jelly base with black & white matte glitter along with gold shimmer. This is my absolute favorite of the entire collection, the shimmer in this is beautiful...pictures don't do it any justice! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Argus is black and white matte glitter in a sheer silverish base with silver shimmer. The formula was good, it was a touch sheer but easy to build. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Arovana is a red jelly with black and white matte glitter. The formula was good, it was nice and opaque and I had no application issues. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Blue Regal is black and white matte glitter in a blue jelly base with royal blue shimmer. The metallic blue shimmer isn't showing up very well in my photos but in person it's all kinds of gorgeous! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

trying to make that shimmer come out with some blur...didn't really work :(

Chocolate Starfish is black and white matte glitter in a sheer brown base. The formula was good, I had no issues with application and the opacity was pretty good. I used 2 coats for the photos below, there was still some visible nail line but it was very minimal in person.

Discus is black and white matte glitter in an orange jelly base. This is like Halloween in a bottle! the formula was great, it was easy to apply and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Dorado is black and white matte glitter in a sheer gold-ish base with a golden shimmer. This is another favorite for me, the shimmer is gorgeous! The formula was good, it was easy to work with and the opacity was easy to build up. I used 2 coats, there is a little bit of nail line showing in the photos but I couldn't actually see it in person.

Pseudochromis is a pink jelly with black and white matte glitter. The formula was again, pretty good. It was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Tetraodon is a blue/green jelly with black and white matte glitter. In person this leans a bit more towards green, my camera was having some issues with this one. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Yellow Boxfish is a yellow jelly with black and white matte glitter. I know this is one you'll either love or hate...I love it! It looks like the perfect bumble bee polish! The formula was good, it was a little bit sheer but I had no application issues and it was easy to build up to being opaque. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Zebrasoma is black and white matte glitter in a blue jelly base. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

  2. Is it just me, or do some of these kinda look like granite?

  3. Ooh definitely not a fan of these ones.

  4. I really like these! They reminded me of the Color Club Modern Mosaics, but look less dense. How did they compare formula-wise to your Subway Station polish from the CC collection?

  5. I see a lot of dance legend polishes on all the nail blogs and at the end, all bloggers post the link dance-legend.com/en and it never works! I know other etailers sell them, but either the selection isn't good or they are even more expensive... Does anyone know what's up with the English website?

  6. Not really comparable IMO. The Dance Legend polishes are all in jelly bases and easy to get opaque
