OPI Coca-Cola Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was nice! Hopefully some of you joined me last night on Twitter for Nail Glossip! It was probably the best chat we've had so far...there were so many great products and tips I learned! If there are any topics you guys want to chat about in our Nail Glossip chats please make sure to let me know the in the comments or over on Twitter!

Today I have swatches of the new Coca-Cola Collection from OPI to share with you! This 9 piece collection is inspired by various Coca-Cola beverages. When I first saw the promo for this collection I didn't really "get" it, I thought the colors were kind of all over the place. However now that I've seen them in person and can compare them to the packaging for the different sodas I can see where the inspiration is from! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

A Grape Affair is a dark purple creme. This polish is inspired by the grape flavored Fanta. I've never had Fanta, but I love me some grape soda so I'm a-ok with a polish being inspired by it. This is fairly vampy but not so much so that you can't tell it's purple. The formula was great, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Coca-Cola Red is a red creme. This is of course inspired by Coca-Cola. This is a nice classic red, that will flatter pretty much any skin tone. The formula was good, it was easy to work with and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Get Cherried Away is a magenta creme. This is inspired by Cherry Coke, which is my favorite of the Coca-Cola sodas..yum! The formula was again really nice, it had a good consistency and was nice and opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Green On The Runway is a green to reddish brown duochrome. This is inspired by Sprite! I love that OPI gave us an interesting duochrome in this collection, it was the one I was most looking most forward to getting. The formula was good, it was a touch sheer but it built easily and was opaque in 3 coats.

Lighting: Shade

My Signature Is "DC" is a silver foil. This polish is inspired by Diet Coke. This is kind of like Push and Shove from the Gwen Stefani Collection except with a much more pronounced shimmer. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

Orange You Fantastic is various sizes and shapes of red and gold glitter in a sheer yellow/orange base. This polish is inspired by Orange Fanta. The base is very similar to the shade of the orange OPI Sheer Tint polish. You can get this opaque on it's own but I didn't care for it that way. The formula was a little thick but I had no issues with application, if you do wear this on it's own you may need to thin it a little bit. I used 1 coat over You're So Vain-illa for the photos below.

Sorry I'm Fizzy Today is a light pink. This is inspired by Vanilla Coke. This polish is a surprise favorite for me, it feels a little different than most like pinks. It seems like it has a touch of peach to it that I really enjoy. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Today I Accomplished Zero is a black jelly base loaded with pink glitter. This is inspired by Coke Zero. This is another favorite for me, I always love a good contrasting glitter like this. The formula was good, it was sheer on the first coat but opaque with the 2nd. I used 2 coats, plus top coat, for the photos below.

Lighting: Shade

You're So Vain-illa is a light beige creme. This is inspired by Vanilla Coke. If you want a good neutral this is a nice one, its flattering on and it would be a good base for glitter. The formula was good, it was a touch streaky on the first coat but it was very minor and was evened out with the second coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

OPI's Coca Cola Collection will be in stores this month, each polish retails for $9. OPI can be found at stores like Ulta and Sally Beauty, you can also get them online at Ulta.com There will also be a mini set that includes all of the polishes with the exception of Orange You Fantastic, it comes with a mini size of OPI's Base Coat and a mini bottle of OPI Nail Envy.

  1. I like the collection, but I feel as of I've seen a lot of these colors before or at least very similar. 'Today I Accomplished Zero' is my favorite, but even that I swear I've seen a dupe for it. Gotta say I'm a little disappointed, I was really excited for this collection.

  4. My local supply got these and I got the last bottle of Green on the Runway! LUCKY! :D It's stunning. I also got Today I Accomplished Zero which looks sooooooo similar to Stay The Night (Liquid Sand) in the bottle. I'm glad I got it - the jelly base is so rich and black yet allows the glitter shine through so nicely. I had to have Coca Cola Red. Amazing formula, almost a one coater for me. My favorite red cream ever is OPI Red My Fortune Cookie and it's very close to that but not a 100% dupe. After seeing your swatches I think I need to go back (again, lol) for Sorry I'm Fizzy Today and Get Cherried Away. The more I see of this collection the more I like it! :)

I couldn't get You're So Vain-illa. :/ It was sold out. I normally never wear shades like that but it looked like it would actually work well with my very fair skin tone so...I might shell out retail for it. Maybe. How does You're So Vain-illa compare to My Vampire is Buff?

Thanks for the beautiful swatches as always! :)

  5. Coca-Cola Red and Today I Accomplished Zero are my must haves. I don't have any polishes like them so if I don't get them for my birthday I'll be buying them. The only ones I'm allowing myself this month (thanks for that debt repayment). I love Coca-Cola and collect Coca-Cola stuff so this is doubly awesome for me!

I'm eagerly anticipating purchasing most of these (as I am a Coca-Cola FREAK), but I was wondering if you could do a couple of comparisons for me? Get Cherried Away looks a lot like 'In the Cable Carpool Lane', and 'A Grape Affair' strongly looks like 'Vant to Bite My Neck' to me. Any help you can give, I'd be eternally grateful.

  21. If you're able, can you do a comparison of My Signature is DC to OPI's DS Radiance?
