Sponged Rainbow Nail Art!

Hi guys! Today I have some quick nail art for you! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you've already seen this! The other day I saw a mani Cris from Let Them Have Polish did with the Salon Perfect Neon Pop Collection. I was like :O and decided to give it a go, I ended up going cray with the rainbow and it looks really nothing like hers but I still like it! To see the mani Cris did along with her tutorial check out her post here: http://www.letthemhavepolish.com/2014/07/salon-perfect-neon-pop-rainbow-ombre.html

I used Finger Paints Paper Mache as a white base and sponged on a bunch of Salon Perfect shades in Fired Up Fuchsia, Flamingo Flair, Yowsa Yellow, Bermuda Baby, Tickled Pink and Loopy Lime then topped it with KBShimmer Prism Break. The holo doesn't show very well in photos but it was really pretty in person!

Contrary Polish The Mellower Season- September 2014 A Box, Indied

Hi guys! Today I have a polishes from Contrary Polish called The Mellower Season to share with you. This polish will be exclusive to the September 2014 A Box, Indied which has a Fall into Autumn theme! I haven't seen the other polishes from the box yet but with that kind of theme I can't wait for swatches to start popping up!

The Mellower Season is a dark purple base with slight blue undertones, it has a gorgeous orangey shimmer. The formula was a little bit on the thick side, I had no issues with application but if you don't like thick polishes its nothing a couple drops of thinner won't fix for you! It started out a little bit sheer but built easily, I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Contrary Polish The Mellower Season is part of the September 2014 A Box Indied, it will be available at Llarowe.com, make sure to follow the Llarowe Facebook page for updates about when it will be released!

Lauren B Beauty Malibu Beach Swatch & Review

HI guys! Today I have a quick post for ya of a polish from a new to me brand called Lauren B. Beauty. This brand is on the high end side with polishes retailing for $18-$19 and treatments ranging from $15-$75. I'm not one to usually accept high end brands for review unless I've heard about them from other people but the cute bottle and the about me on the Lauren B. Beauty website drew me in. In her about me it said that she used to set up a nail station on an ironing board while wearing overalls, snap bracelets and jellies while listening to the Spice Girls. I was like :O that sounds like me as a child...minus the nail part because back then I was still a nail biter!

Anyway the color I have to share with you today is called Malibu Beach. Most of the polishes in the line are named after LA centric phrases or hot spots, being from So Cal I'm always a fan of polishes named for places I've been. The formula was really nice, the consistency was good and I had no issues with streakiness. I used 2 coats for full opacity plus a coat of top coat to make it as shiny as possible. I did not have any staining with this but I used 2 coats of base coat just to be on the safe side.

Lauren B. Beauty polishes and nail treatments are available at http://www.laurenbbeauty.com

Degen's July 2014 BarkBox

Hi guys! Today I have a BarkBox post for you! It's been a whole lot of months since I posted one of these! For those that haven't seen one of these posts before and haven't heard of BarkBox it is a monthly subscription service that sends a box full of dog treats/toys/goodies. Kinda like Birchbox for dogs. The reason I haven't posted one of these in a while is because the last few months of boxes just haven't been very good for Degen. The boxes themselves have been good but because we've been trying to slim down Degen over the last year (he's down to 22lbs from 34!!) he hasn't been able to eat most of the treats we've gotten and the toys haven't been ones he'll play with. Pretty much all the BarkBoxes we've gotten for the last 6 months have been given to our neighbors/friends who have dogs that will enjoy them.

Anyway, this months box was a good one, Degen loves the toy that was included and one of the treats is something I'll actually give him! Check out everything he got after the jump!

Sunndy's Body Products Cuticle Balms & Hand Lotion- Review

Hi guys! Today I have a few more hand care goodies from 365 Days of Color to share with you! After my first order, which you can see here, I went ahead and ordered 2 more cuticle balm samplers along with the small size of hand cream.I am totally obsessed with her cuticle balms, I'm already picking out more scents to try...good thing they are pretty inexpensive so my bank account doesn't hate me too much!

Last time I posted about 365 Days of Color hand care a couple people emailed me asking how they were shipped to prevent leaking so I thought I'd show you this time. Everything comes in a bubble mailers and all of the jars (or bottles if you get cuticle oils) are secured with electrical tape so that nothing leaks out.

So first off I got 2 more of the samplers of Cuticle Balms, each comes with 3 scents of your choosing. You can see the packaging and how the balm looks in my past post by clicking here. This time I decided to get a few scents that you guys recommended along with a couple I had on my list to try from my last order.

The scents I got this time were:

Hillbilly Home Brew- "mulled cider with woodsy notes of oak, cinnamon bark and cloves, with hints of wildberries" This is a favorite for me, the most prominent scent is mulled cider and it smells amazing! It reminds me of something I would drink during the holidays!

Hazelnut Cappuccino- "Roasted coffee, light chocolate with nutty, full bodied hazelnuts." This is my absolute 100% favorite. I am obsessed. I brought this one to work and I put it on when I get to the office in the morning. It seriously smells exactly like the Hazelnut Cappuccino I drink all the time. If you are a fan of that scent you need this.

Christmas Dreams- "Aromas of cinnamon, chocolate, peppermint, and tangerine fill the air on Christmas morning!" This smells exactly like you'd expect it to! I'm very fond of scents like this (if you couldn't tell)

Sparkling Snowflakes- "Crisp, clean, cool and slightly minty." This is the only scent that I didn't end up loving. The scent just isn't for me, it reminds me a vapor rub...I don't know if its just the type of mint or what. I ended up giving this away to a friend and she's enjoying it!

Cinnamon Sugar- "A classic blend of cinnamon powder and sugar" This is another great one, it smells exactly like what it should, it's got a nice bit of a cinnamon scent to it but the sugar really mellows it out.

Fruit Loops- "Who doesn't love fruit loops? this smells just like the cereal!" This is one that was recommended either in the comments of my last post, or on Instagram/Facebook. I'm so glad I ended up getting it, it smells exactly like fruit loops!

The other item I got in my order was the small size of Hand Cream. I got the scent Strawberry Buttercream which is described as mix of strawberry and buttercream and it smells delicious, it's not too strawberry or too sweet smelling...it's right in the middle!

Unfortunately I don't really care for the hand cream. I was expecting it to be very smooth and creamy (based on the picture on the website) but it's very thick, the consistency of a body butter. I also found it to be gritty which I wasn't too fond of. On a positive note its not greasy and its very moisturizing. I will use up the jar I bought but it's probably not something I'd buy again.

365 Days of Color hand care items are available at http://www.365daysofcolorpolishes.com/, prices range from $4-$14 and there are seriously like 200 scents to choose from!

Maybelline Teal Beam Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a new Maybelline polish called Teal Beam to share with you! This is part of a new collection called Veils which is made up of different glitter toppers. I spotted the display a little while back at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Teal Beam was the only one that I felt like I really needed.

Teal Beam is matte light blue and green glitter along with a golden shimmer in a clear base. The shimmer is what sold me on this, it doesn't come across much (at all) in photos but it was great in real life! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the glitter coverage was good. I used 2 coats over OPI Angel With A Lead Foot for the photos below. In hindsight this maybe wasn't the right combo for photos but in person it was beautiful!

Maybelline Teal Beam and the rest of the Veils Collection is available now at Drugstores, I found my bottle at Bed, Bath & Beyond!

OPI Mustang Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a new OPI Collection to share with you! I was doing some retail therapy the other day at Ulta and saw a display for these so I ended up going over to a local beauty supply and getting the collection! This new collection is a collaboration with Ford for the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. There are 6 shades in total, and each bottle has shrink wrap around the brush handle that features the Mustang logo. I'm guessing this is serving as OPI's Summer Collection but I'm not 100% sure about that. As always if there are any comparisons you'd like to see for these let me know in the comments! 4th of July Sugar Spun Nail Art

Happy 4th of July! Today I have a quick nail art post for you! I've been wearing my 4th of July mani since Monday...I'm all patriotic up here this week haha! This year I decided to try a technique that has been around for a while but I had never tried...Sugar Spun nails. I don't know why but I always thought this technique was really hard or something, spoiler alert: it's easy.  I linked the tutorial I followed on Youtube below, there are tons and tons of tutorials for this out there to follow!

I used Finger Paints Paper Mache as my base and Jin Soon Cool Blue and Alessandro Red Carpet for the sugar spun parts. There was a little bit of a learning curve with this but it was easy to get the hang of and I really like the result. I did not top coat this, it does have texture which may not be something everyone likes but I loved it!

Here is the tutorial I used made by All Lacquered Up, if the embedded video below doesn't work the following link should! http://youtu.be/zkCzju_1S2c
