CND Vinylux Summer 2014 Paradise Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Paradise Collection from CND to share with you! I have the Vinylux versions of the collection but they also come in Shellac. The Paradise Collection is made up of 3 bright cremes and 3 shimmers. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Bicycle Yellow is a bright sunny yellow with a subtle shimmer. I was excited about this...I love yellows. However the formula...it was horrible. I think this polish takes the cake for the worst yellow I have ever used. It was thick and streaky it was also very lumpy...like you could see the lumps as you took the brush out of the bottle. I tried giving this a good shake and thinning in and neither helped. I also could not get it to even out as you can easily see on my index finger. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Cerulean Sea is a bright blue creme. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Electric Orange is a bright orange creme with red undertones. The formula was really nice, it was easy to apply and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Lush Tropics is a grassy green creme. Clearly a favorite for me...I love all the greens! The formula was good, it was a little patchy on the first coat but it evened out and was opaque with the second coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Sultry Sunset is a pink metallic frost. Not a fan of this, it was very pretty in the bottle but on the nail I just don't care for it very much. The formula was a bit difficult, it was thick and you have to be careful during application or its brush stroke city. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Tango Passion is a metallic purple shimmer. This also leans a bit towards being a frost but its not too bad. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall this collection is ok, I really like the cremes but the other 3 are misses for me, especially Bicycle Yellow.

CND Vinylux retails for $9.90 a bottle and is available at select salons. To find a salon near you check out the CND website.

  1. The cremes are really pretty, especially the orange -- so great for summer! Do you think these really last for a full week?

  2. This is a good collection. I like the cremes.

  3. I've done a review of the wear, if you click the CND label at the end of the post it should bring it up

  4. I think I like the frosty ones the best, even if they do have a harder application, it looks worth it!

  5. Oh no.. that yellow :-(. But I looooove the cremes!
