Lauren B Beauty Malibu Beach Swatch & Review

HI guys! Today I have a quick post for ya of a polish from a new to me brand called Lauren B. Beauty. This brand is on the high end side with polishes retailing for $18-$19 and treatments ranging from $15-$75. I'm not one to usually accept high end brands for review unless I've heard about them from other people but the cute bottle and the about me on the Lauren B. Beauty website drew me in. In her about me it said that she used to set up a nail station on an ironing board while wearing overalls, snap bracelets and jellies while listening to the Spice Girls. I was like :O that sounds like me as a child...minus the nail part because back then I was still a nail biter!

Anyway the color I have to share with you today is called Malibu Beach. Most of the polishes in the line are named after LA centric phrases or hot spots, being from So Cal I'm always a fan of polishes named for places I've been. The formula was really nice, the consistency was good and I had no issues with streakiness. I used 2 coats for full opacity plus a coat of top coat to make it as shiny as possible. I did not have any staining with this but I used 2 coats of base coat just to be on the safe side.

  1. A little pricey for my taste, but I went and looked at her site and I love how Hollywood Blvd is that dense, multi-colored glitter. Reminds me of all the flecks in the pavement there :D

Love the color, pretty summer shade of blue. Cute bottle design, yes a little pricey but I might order a bottle when I have some extra $$ to splurge.

BTW Jen sorry if this is off subject but are you going to update your stash list anytime soon? I love checking out your list to see past swatches. I find it easier (and more interesting) to navigate the stash list than to comb through the index on the right of the screen to find polish shades I want to look up. :)

  6. I really need to update it, I'm just lazy lol! I've let it go for so long that it's going to take forever :(

Sounds like you need an assistant! If I were in your area I'd offer to help, it'd be a fun chore! :)

  8. Lovely shade but I don't think I'd pay that price for it :). I love the bottle shape though!
