OPI Halloween 2014 Peanuts Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have my first Halloween Collection for the year to share with you! For Halloween this year OPI is releasing a 4 piece collection inspired by the Peanuts! Man I was SO excited when I heard about these, I have loved the Peanuts since I was a kid and I still watch The Great Pumpkin every year when its on TV! The collection includes 2 cremes and 2 black-based glitters. I was most excited for the glitters, I love glitters like these and the 2 in this collection didn't disappoint! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Good Grief! is a yellow creme. The formula was pretty good for a yellow, there was some streakness but it was fairly minor and easy to even out. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

To Be Or Not To Beagle is black glitter with multicolored hex glitter mixed in. The press release for the collection said "Snoopy's happy-dance of colors in a joyful glitter" about this polish. It made me laugh because we have a running joke at work about Snoopy's happy-dance, I even have a picture of him doing it on my little board next to my desk haha! The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was great. I used 1 coat over Good Grief! for the photos below.

for lulz here is Snoopy on my board at work :P Apparently I also like happy stars...

Where's My Blanket??? is black glitter with a sprinkle of light orange and yellow hex glitter. The formula was really nice, not thick and easy to apply with good glitter payoff. I used 1 coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the photos below.

Who Are You Calling Bossy?!? is a black creme. This one seems like it has a bit of a more jelly-ish finish than OPI Black Onyx. The opacity is still nice but depending on how you apply polish it probably won't be a one coater. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Halloween 2014 Peanuts Collection from OPI will be available beginning in September at professional salons including Chatters, Planet Beauty and Ulta. Each full sized polish retails for $9.50 ($11.50 CAN).

There will also be a mini pack called Little Peanuts available, it includes all 4 polishes along with a sheet of 10 decals that feature popular Peanuts phrases and sketches of Snoopy and Charlie Brown's t-shirt squiggle. The mini set retails for $13.95 ($17.50CAN)

  1. I can't wait to get my hands on these, especially Happy Dance- I have a running joke about it at home as well :)
    Awesome post! :D

  2. Ooh, that black looks so nice and squishy. Black cremes always have my heart.

  3. These look really nice and I really love the glitters. The yellow and black are both jumping out at me too! Great photos :-)

  4. Cannot wait to get my hands on these! I love Snoopy and I was quite elated when I heard this collection was coming out. Thanks for the great pics.

  5. I have been waiting for your swatches of these to see if I really did need all of them. Sadly (or happily?), it looks like I do. Great swatches, as always.

  6. Man I wish that the Where's My Blanket was more "Linus"-y colors. Linus was always my favorite of the peanuts gang. When I read the names prior to swatches I was really hoping it would be the blue of his blanket!

  7. <3 loooove these glitters so much!

  8. Its nice. I really like the glitters in here.

  9. I love all of these! It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is my favorite holiday movie so I was really excited when this collection was announced. I already have I Just Can't Cope-acabana, how does Good Grief! compare?

  10. How close are Essie's topless and barefoot and OPI's my very first knockwurst?
