Covergirl XL Nail Gel Plump It Pear & Plumped Up Plum Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a couple polishes from Covergirl's XL Nail Gel line to share with you. The XL Nail Gel is meant to be a gel-like look without the hassle of curing the polish etc. Unlike some of the other gel type polishes that are on store shelves the Covergirl line does not require a special top coat. The polishes are meant to dry super shiny and give you up to 7 days of wear. I haven't had a chance to wear test these yet but I'd love to hear about how they held p for you in the comments!

First up is Plump It Pear which is a dark lime green creme. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. The opacity was great, nearly a 1 coater for me. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Plumped Up Plum is a medium purple creme. Like Plump It Pear the formula was really nice, it was easy to work with and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Covergirl XL Nail Gel line can be found at most drugstores, price will vary depending on where you buy. You can also get them on the Covergirl website where they retail for $7.49 each.

  1. I don't know this brand, but looks great :D Love the polishes! :D

  2. The purple one is really nice :-)

  3. I got the Rotund Raspberry which is a great fall color. However, the polish just didn't seem as creamy and self-leveling as other polishes. I love the CG Outlast polishes so I was surprised that this was so meh.

  4. I love these, so much so that I bought all the shades, at full price! Lol! :)

  5. They sure look nice and shiny!
