Different Dimension Halloween 2014 Spooky Spooky Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Today I have the Different Dimension Spooky Spooky Collection for Halloween 2014 to share with you! The collection launches tonight along with the Heavy Metals Collection! I always like a good Halloween Collection, and this one definitely is! It has everything from dense full coverage mico glitters to glitter toppers, holos and a glow in the dark! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Dragula is a full coverage micro glitter. There is mostly orange and brown/black glitter but there are little sparks of holographic glitter that are gorgeous when the light catches them! The formula was ok, it was on the thick side but it didn't give me any application issues and the opacity was great! I used 2 coats for the photos below. This does dry with some texture so if you like that you can leave it that way, or add a couple coats of top coat for a nice shine!

Ghostbusters is a light orangey base with iridescent orange glitter and a nice bit of shimmer. This also glows nice and orange in the dark! The formula was on the thick side, I didn't have any problems with application but it will be one I will probably layer next time so that I don't need a second coat. The opacity was really nice on this polish, I was expecting it to be a bit sheer but that wasn't the case at all. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Monster Mash is a black, white and orange glitter topper. There is also a bit of iridescent glitter and a slight holo. There is a variety of shapes in the glitter, circles, hex, triangles and stars! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the glitter payoff was great! I used 1 coat over Milani Mint Crush for the photos below.

Thriller is a dark purple jelly with red shimmer. yum! If you like a good purple this is probably one you'll want to pick up! The formula was good, it is a touch sheer due to the jelly formula but it was easy to build and opaque in 3 coats.

Werewolves of London is an orange holo. This is the perfect pumpkin holo! The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Spooky Spooky Collection from Different Dimension will be available starting today, September 26th at www.differentdimension.us

  8. Hi.
Didn't you mistake Just Beclaus for In A Holidaze and vice versa? Or did OPI put my stickers on wrong? :-P

  9. Nope, I just checked my bottles and they are named correctly in my post

  10. love these too...so many awesome polishes and so little money...i love Ghostbusters and Thriller...i wish they had one like Ghostbuster with less glitter...but are still great

  11. Sigh, OPI. Not only is this whole collection exceptionally boring, they re-used a name from a Sephora by OPI holiday collection - What's Your Point-settia, AND the SOPI color looks curiously similar to Red Fingers and Mistletoes.

  12. Two questions for you :
1- You say that "Just Beclaus" is a creme, but it really looks like a jelly, from your swatches. You really classify it as a creme, then?
2- How does "In a Holidaze" compare to "OPI Scores a Goal"? They look rather similar to me; I'd be curious to see a comparison.
Thank you in advance, and again, thanks and congrats for you thourough work that really and often help me chose colours I can only buy online. :)

  13. It's most likely my top coat making it look squishy, it's just a regular creme. I don't own that OPI anymore so I really can't say if they are dupes or not, sorry!

  14. Some of these definitely remind me of the Mariah Carey Holiday collection last year! I don't think anything will top the Skyfall collection for me :( The only one I would probably pick up is Christmas Gone Plaid but it looks similar to Zoya Hunter. Maybe the glitters will be more interesting.

Beautiful pics! I went to my local beauty supply today & found all of these shades, but was disappointed when I didnt see the glitters, so are they being released separately or at a different date than the 12 cream shades? ?

  18. I was just about to ask this question, too. I'm wearing Just Beclaus right now and it's nearly identical to the photos you have for In a Holidaze. I have both colours and the labels on mine are opposite what you have here.

  19. Pretty sure my labels are wrong on my bottles, I just keep forgetting to change the post :)
