Hi guys! Today I have the new KBShimmer Fall 2014 Collection along with Jack which is a limited time re-release for Halloween! KBShimmer's Fall Collection brings us new cremes, glitters, crellies and holos! Check out all the swatches after the jump!
A Raisin To Live is a burgundy jelly base loaded with holographic glitter. The glitter really shines through the base beautifully, especially out in the sunlight! The formula was good, it was easy to apply with good opacity and glitter payoff. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Flannel Surfing is a dusty greyed out blue crelly base with orange, aqua, white and blue glitter. I love the name of this one, plus all the colors together are gorgeous! It does tend to look a bit lumpy in photos but in person it was completely smooth with a coat of top coat! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was really nice. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
How You Dune? is a greige creme aka beige and creme mixed together. This is a gorgeous neutral that is great for an office environment or as a base for glitter/nail art! The formula was great, it was nice and creamy with fantastic opacity! Depending on how to apply polish this could be a 1 coater, for me it needed 2 coats but the second was hardly necessary.
Hugs and Wishes is a lavender creme. This has a bit of a blue undertone to it so depending on your skin tone it could pull more towards blue. The formula was great, it was a really nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Jack is a black jelly with orange glitter. This is a re-release that will only be available for a limited time! The formula was good, I like how dark it is but the black jelly still lets the orange peek out a bit. The formula was good, depending on how you apply polish it's a 2-3 coater. I used 2 coats on some nails and 3 on others for full opacity.
Kiss And Spell is a mix of yellow, purple, orange, neon green and black glitter in a clear base. There are all kinds of shapes and sizes of glitter mixed in. I really love all the different colors of star glitter, and it was easy to get them onto the nail! The formula was good, it was easy to get a lot of glitter on the brush, I found it easiest to apply by dabbing it on. I used 1 coat over How You Dune? for the photos below.
Leaf Of Faith is a red jelly with multiple sizes of red, orange and gold glitter. I love this one, it looks like it has so much depth to it with the way the glitter floats in the jelly base on the nail. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and the opacity was better than I thought it would be! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Rust No One is an orangey red holo. The holo is stronger in person than it photographs and this is also gorgeous when not in the sun, the base color of polish is really pretty! The formula was good, it was easy to work with and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Stonewashed is a slightly dusty navy blue creme. The formula was fantastic, it was a good consistency and a breeze to apply. This is another that could be a 1 coater, I used 2 coats but the second was barely needed.
Up And Cunning is a dark teal holo. The holo was nice and strong in this one also! The formula was great, it was easy to apply with good opacity! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Overall I love the Fall 2014 Collection from KBShimmer, my favorites are Rust No One, Leaf Of Faith and Flannel Surfing!
