OPI Holiday 2014 Unfrost My Heart Trio Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the last full Trio from the Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection from OPI. There is 1 additional trio that includes a base coat, matte top coat and So Elegant (which is also in this trio). Since I already have all of those I didn't buy it. The Unfrost My Heart Trio much like the Rollin' In Cashmere includes 1 metallic polish and 2 glitter toppers. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

I'll Tinsel You In is black, white and grey glitter in a clear base. There is a mix of square, hex and bar glitter in here. The formula was great, it wasn't thick and application was easy with good glitter payoff. I used 1 coat over Sally Hansen Shock Wave for the photos below.

So Elegant is black and gunmetal grey glitter in a clear base. There are small and large pieces of hex glitter in this, I did have to do some fishing to get the big grey hex glitter out but it's pretty dense in the bottle so it wasn't a big issue. The formula was good, it was also easy to apply with good glitter coverage. I used 1 coat over Sally Hansen Greyfiti for the photos below.

Unfrost My Heart is a silver foil. For those wondering if it's a dupe to Push & Shove that came out earlier this year in the original Gwen Stefani Collection, it's not. The finish is a foil where Push & Shove was more of a chrome. The difference in finish is noticeable on the nail, this polish is much easier to apply and more forgiving of imperfections you might have in your nails (it's also doesn't need a special base coat). The formula was great, it was a nice consistency and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Gwen Stefani Holiday nail lacquer shades each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. Gwen Stefani Holiday will be available October 2014, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, beautybrands.com, Chatters, Dillard’s, Regis, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.50 ($11.50 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

  1. Not that very impressed, but from what I have seen there are some really nice reds in the collection as well.

  2. Nice glitters. I do prefer the first one. And you can never go wrong with a good silver :-) Would you say it is similar to either: My Sig is DC or Haven't The Foggiest?

  3. Its closer to My Signature is DC but I haven't put them side by side to see how close they are

  4. I was just going to ask about how this looks next to DC. It looks almost dead on.

  7. I was thinking the same lol. I have haven't the foggiest but not DC...I haven't been gravitating towards pure silvers really..I do own nailtinis deuville and that also looks to me to be a dupe. I feel silver polish is easier to I guess refine into a smoother finish as opposed to gold polish...I'd like to see some smoother golds out there! (Ie: no visible brush strokes lol)

I really don't care for the gold at all and I will probably never use it, but I wanted these toppers SO bad so I caved and bought the trio.
I can't wait to use them!!!
