Glam Polish Welcome to Storybrooke Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a new Glam Polish collection called Welcome to Storybrooke to share with you! This collection is inspired by the show Once Upon A Time! I used to love that show, they kinda lost me when they started with the whole Peter Pan story line and I stopped watching. I've been thinking about giving it another shot so you'll have to let me know if its gotten better! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

A Land Without Magic is a teal holo. The holo is a on the scattered side, it also has some iridescent micro glitter and shimmer. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Desperate Souls is a dark eggplant purple holo with a green shimmer. The shimmer is a bit hard to see in photos, it's more visible in person. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had fantastic opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree is a deep plum holo with crimson shimmer. The formula was again really nice, easy to apply with great opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Hat Trick is a multi chrome holo that shifts between red, copper, gold and green. The color shift is nice and strong in low light and in the shade...you can also see it in the sun! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had really nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade
Into The Deep is an azure blue with a subtle holo and green shimmer. The formula was good, a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Red-Handed is a pink holo with green shimmer. This is another where the green in the shimmer doesn't translate well in photos. The formula was good, easy to apply with nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Second Star To The Right is an indigo holo with red/violet/blue glass flecks. The formula was great, it was super easy to apply and the opacity was fantastic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Selfless, Brave & True is a multi chrome holo that shifts between blue, violet and orange and extreme angles. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and had really nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade
The Thing You Love The Most is a multi chrome holo that shifts between purple, red and gold/orange. The formula was good, easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

  3. These polishes are gorgeous and the swatches look fantastic - no question there. The show, on the other hand? I watched the first season on Netflix recently and don't have much inclination to keep going. It's soooo cheesy! Which is part of its allure, sure, but I spend more time groaning at the laboured storylines and the terrible CGI than I do enjoying the actual show (Rumplestiltskin is the worst, which pains me to say, because I love Robert Carlyle. If he chewed the scenery any harder, it'd fall down...assuming it's physical and not more crap green screen!)

  8. I 100% totally agree with u about when the show lost u......when they introduced i cant even remember their names but Beys fiance And that dude to take away magic, I was going to stop watching. I thought the show was very well written and had great acting up until that point which almost, almost did me in. My cousin told me to keep watching and I'M SO GLAD I DID! **SEASON 3 SPOILER*** they both got killed off like day 1 or 2 of season 3. I agree the whole pan thing wasn't the greatest but it really didnt last that long and the longer it went on the better it got. Idk this type of show is something I normally would never watch, Im not girly (besides nail polish clearly) or cheesey and very rarely enjoy a chick flick but I love this show....not sure y...I almost didnt watch it, Im very glad my cousin convinced me to!
