Sally Hansen Halloween Themed Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Anyone have fun plans this weekend? I'm probably going to be doing more window shopping and price comparing for my condo! I think I might also start packing up some boxes of stuff I don't use very often. Today I have a few Halloween polishes from Sally Hansen to share with you, some are from their Insta Dri line a couple are new Fuzzy Coat polishes and 1 is a new Big Glitter polish. I kind of can't believe that Halloween is a week from today, I didn't realize it until I started writing this post :O

Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Costume Glitter is a silver glitter and silver  holographic glitter mix in a clear base. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had great glitter payoff. I used 1 coat over Night Fright for the photos below

Fur-ankenstein & Witch-ful Thinking are 2 new Fuzzy Coat polishes, I wore them together in 1 mani so that's how I decided to show them. Fur-ankenstein is green and black small matte bar glitter in a clear base and Witch-ful Thinking is orange and black small matte bar glitter in a clear base. Both were easy to apply with good glitter payoff. I used 2 coats of each over OMGhost for the photos below. Both photos are in the shade.

Night Fright is a black creme. The formula was alright, it was a little watery for my personal preference but that might not be an issue for others. The opacity was good, on some nails it was a 1 coater and on others I needed a second coat for full opacity. The photo below is in the shade.

OMGhost is a white creme. The formula was good, it had a nice consistency and was easy to apply with very minor streakyness. I did have some bubbling issues that you can see on my index finger but I ended up layering over this so it wasn't a big deal to me. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Pumpkin Queen is an orange creme. The formula was good, it was easy to apply with nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Scaredy Matte is a matte black. This is similar to the matte black Pixi I posted the other day but with a much better formula. It has a nice consistency and was easy to work with with great opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Sally Hansen is available at major drugstores like CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens you can also find them at Ulta. Prices for these polishes vary by line and can vary depending on where you buy from.

  5. Am I the only one who feels like it's a total cop out for companies to include plain black or white cremes with collections? I mean, who doesn't have polishes like that already?

  6. Does anyone remember China Glaze "All a Flutter" or "Flock Together"? I wonder how the size and shape of these Sally small bar glitters compare?

Congrats on the condo, Jen! So happy for you!!! Will you make a special "polish closet" or something to hold your stocks? ;)

  7. Am I the only one who feels like it's a total cop out ... idk...I guess if in doing so they displace something more sophisticated or risque that could've been released instead...but c'mon, it's kinda cute to release a white polish that you name OMGhost for 31Oct! ;)

  8. I'm actually really excited for Costume Glitter!

Weird, though, I was just at Wal-Mart on Wednesday night, and they didn't have any of these Halloween polishes from Sally Hansen out yet :(

(i always am looking to see what other Sally top coats might appear, since I scooped up Blue Moonlight, MeteorLight and Goldi-Flecks earlier this year, but have also totally fallen in love w/ their "Big Shimmer" topcoat #110 " Twinkle Snows" (check it out if you haven't already it goes so well w/ white, if you do a snow-tipped theme ha).

  9. None of these really calls my name, but I am always in the market for a good black creme polish (mainly for stamping) and that matte one looks promising.
