Salon Perfect Nail It! Exclusive Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today is kinda bitter sweet for me, I was supposed to close escrow on my condo today but the stupid HOA took forever to send something to my lender so now I won't close until tomorrow or Friday :( Let's all cross our fingers that I close tomorrow, I am so done with this while home buying process...I can't take any more stress lol! Also I'd like to go shop, like I want to go buy all the home things NOW I can't contain the excitement to decorate any longer!

Today I have a fun Salon Perfect Collection to share with you! This collection was made with Nail It! Magazine and only available through a giveaway Nail It! is doing on their blog! You can find a link for where to enter at the end of the post! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Champagne Toast is super fine gold and holographic glitter in a clear base. This will look good over pretty much anything, I put it over a dark purple and was like :O when I stepped outside out into the sun. The formula was good, this isn't one to wear on it's own, for layering it was very easy to apply and the glitter payoff was nice. I used 2 coats plus top coat over Zoya Haven.

Shade

Christmas Cookie is red, white and green circle glitter along with small red, white and green hex glitter in a clear base. The glitter is a bit sinky so its one you have to put upside down for a few minutes before using. Application took a little patience, it was heavy on the base so you have to fish out the glitter and place it where you want it on the nail. I layered Christmas Cookie over Jordana Merry Mint for the photos below.

Shade

Glam Glitter is red, green and gold glitter in a clear base. I had a heck of a time getting my camera to take pictures of this one so I apologize for that :( This looks gorgeous over white in person but my camera was like lolno, Jen. The formula was good, it was easy to work with and had great glitter payoff. I used 1 coat plus top coat over Sugar Cube for the photos below.

He's With Me is a red jelly base with fine red glitter. This is a favorite for me in the collection, I love reds like this so much...pictures do no justice to how fabulous the glitter looks in person. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Shade

Snowed In is white and silver glitter in a clear base. The formula was really nice, it was easy to apply with fantastic glitter payoff. I used 1 coat plus top coat over Jordana Lively Lilac for the photos below.

Shade

Sugar Cube is a white creme. The formula was pretty good for a white. It had a nice consistency and was easy to work with. There was some streakyness but it was pretty minor. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

  4. Isn't Salon Perfect owned by the same company that owns China Glaze? Looks like Champagne Toast = Golden Enchantment, He's With Me = Ruby Slippers, and Glam Glitter = Party Hearty? Christmas Cookie looks new though, and Snowed In too! (but it looks a little like OPI Pirouette My Whistle doesn't it?) I'm a little sad these are only available as a giveaway because I totally want Christmas Cookie & I would definitely grab Glam Glitter as a back up to Party Hearty!

  6. Glam Glitter= Party Hearty by CG from a few years back and I am SOOOO happy about that. Party Hearty is one of my all time fave Holiday Polishes so to have a "back up" is great :D!

  8. Is there a polish you know of similar to Cookie Cutter? That's the most adorable Christmas glitter polish I've ever seen.

  9. Not that I can think of off the top of my head but I'd bet you could get it custom made from an indie, a lot of them do fantastic customs!
