Essie Summer 2015 Peach Side Babe Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have one of Essie's Summer 2015 Collection. This year they came out with a normal collection and a new "neon" collection. Out of the 2 I decided the normal one, called Peach Side Babe was more my speed. I love neons but the neon collection just didn't do anything for me when I saw them at Target. The Peace Side Babe Collection has a nice variety in shades from light almost pastel shades to bolder corals and blues. I like that its different from a lot of what we've seen for Summer. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Chillato is a light yellowy green creme. The formula on this wasn't my favorite, it was a little on the thin side and streaky. It did build up pretty easily and was pretty much opaque in 2 coats. I used 3 coats to completely even it out.

Peach Side Babe is a peach creme. The is my favorite of the collection, I always love a good peach and this one is a really beautiful color. The formula was ok, it was streaky at first but built up and evened out fairly easily. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Pret-A-Surfer is a dusty blue creme. If you liked Essie's Butler Please but didn't want something so bright this is a shade you'll probably like. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Private Weekend is a white with a very very slight shimmer. The shimmer is visible in the bottle but pretty much invisible. The formula was ok, it was streaky but easy to apply. It seems like it dries with a slight matte finish so you'll want to use a top coat unless you like that look. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Salt Water Happy is a light blue creme. The formula was ehh, not good but not bad either. It was nice and opaque and not streaky but I had issues with it not wanting to self level very well. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Sunset Sneaks is a bright coral creme. This will be a great pedi color for summer! The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall I like the color palette for this collection, my pick is Peach Side Babe! The Summer 2015 Collection is available now, I've seen it at Target and Ulta. Essie retails for $8.50

  5. I always hate when that happens. I do like a subtle shimmer, but not so subtle that its invisible lol
