ILNP Summer 2015 Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the other part of the ILNP Summer 2015 Collection for you! If you missed the Ultra Holos a couple days ago you can check them out here.  This half of the collection has a mix of finishes, everything form shimmers, to flakies and Ultra Chromes. The Summer Collection will be available over on the ILNP website for pre-order starting tomorrow, June 12th!  Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Cameo is a new Ultra Chrome, it shifts between pink, gold, orange and green! The formula was really nice, you can layer this over a dark base or wear it on its own. For full opacity I used 3 coats, all photos below are in the shade.

Harbour Island is a squishy aqua blue holo. This has a nice jelly texture to it so it dries looking nice and squishy. The formula was good, it is a little sheer due to the jelly texture but it builds nicely. I used 3 coats for the photos below. I had no staining with this!

Kaleidoscope is an ultra chrome flakie in a rainbow of colors. I feel like this is kinda like the ultimate ultra chrome flakie, it has all of the colors!  If you're still on the fence about flakies like this or can't pick just one to get this would be the one to go with! The formula was great, it was very easy to apply and had good glitter payoff. I used 1 coat over Long Walks, both photos are in the shade.

Long Walks is a taupe-y grey/brown with a golden shimmer and subtle holo. This is one of my favorites of the collection, I adore soft neutrals like this when they have extra pops like the shimmer and holo! The formula was good, easy to apply with a nice consistency. It was sheer at first but easy to build and opaque in 3 coats.

Mega (X) is a silver holo, this is a bigger particle holo than the previous Mega polishes...it tends to look more like a micro glitter. The formula was good, it's a touch sheer but buildable and so holo-y that out in the sun if there is visible nail line you can't see it! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

To see a good comparison of all 4 Mega polishes check out JessFace90's video by clicking here.

Money Bin is a golden flake holo. Is flake holo a thing? IDK but I can't think of any other way to describe it. There is a nice linear holo going on here and the little tiny flakes of golden glitter. It's a complex polish and photos really don't do justice with showing that, unfortunately. The formula was great, it was really easy to apply and had a nice consistency with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Pink Mimosa is a pink flake holo. Just like Money Bin its made up of these tiny pink flakes of glitter, so neat! The formula was great, just like Money Bin it was easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shoreline is a blue flake holo. I really wish that cameras could capture how neat these are, I really don't feel like my photos are conveying how neat they are :( The formula was once again, great. It was a good consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

So Coral is a coral crelly. I really liked this polish, unfortunately it didn't really like me back because it was impossible to photograph. Sometimes coral polishes like this are just a pain in the booty. I tried every light I could find and 2 cameras and could not get an accurate photo of it on my nails, luckily somehow the camera got the bottle color right. So, for the photos below the color you see in the bottle is what it actually looks like...ignore my nails lol! The formula was good, its a crelly so its sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Summer Crush is a bright pink with golden flecks of glitter and a subtle holo. The formula was good, it was easy to work with and had good opacity. It did dry a little matte, probably due to neon pigment. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Super Juiced is a purple toned blue with pink shimmer. This is another favorite for me, shimmers like this always find a way into my heart...I can't help it. The formula was good, it was a little sheer on the first coat but ended up being opaque with the second. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Overall I really like these, no surprise there. My picks are Long Walks, Super Juiced and Money Bin.The Summer 2015 Ultra Holos will be available for Pre-Order at ILNP.com starting on Friday, during the presale prices for these polishes are between $9-$11.50 during the pre-sale and $10-$12.50 regular priced.

  1. Very orgasmic! I don't usually like pinks but summer crush....

  2. These just all look so stunning!

  3. What's the difference between Cameo and Masquerade?

  4. You hit it spot on about making a decision on the flakies - I have been holding off while I tried to narrow it down, but I think Kaleidoscope will make the cut. I'm curious how similar Cameo is to Masquerade? And thanks for that link to YouTube for the Mega swatches, that was super helpful!

Okay, not sure where my first comment went, so sorry if this is a duplicate. You really hit it spot on with that comment about not being able to pick a flakie - I have been waiting to place an order in hopes I'd figure out how to narrow it down. Maybe this will help. Curious how close Cameo is to Masquerade? And thank for the link to the YouTube video on Mega - that was really helpful. : )

  6. They are pretty close, the main difference is that Masquerade is a little bit darker of a pink/red than Cameo is!
