Zoya Summer 2015 Island Fun Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, I ended up going to the doctor on Monday for my finger and apparently I somehow injured the flexor tendon :/ The doctor is having me wear a little brace thing on my finger and typing has been a challenge...hence why there was no post yesterday. I tried typing one up but rage quit half way through lol! Hopefully I'll be back to being able to bend my finger soon, luckily I didn't tear it because apparently that requires surgery to fix! Still no idea how I actually managed to hurt myself.

Today I have the Island Fun Collection from Zoya for ya! This is 1/2 of their Summer 2015 offerings and it includes 6 new creme polishes. I always get excited for the Summer collections from Zoya, especially the creme half. I know cremes aren't *that* exciting but I really enjoy them! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Cecilia is a teal creme. The formula was great, easy to apply with really great opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below. I did not have any staining with this but I have heard of others having issues so I'd recommend 2 coats of base coat and careful removal so you don't end up with smurf fingers.

Demetria is a poppy red creme. The formula was again, really great. This flowed nicely onto the nail and had great opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Jace is described by Zoya as a modern tropical green. It's a little murky in a great way, I really like it (no one is shocked lol). The formula was good, it started out a bit sheer but built really easily and was opaque in 2 coats.

Nana is a fuchsia pink creme. The formula was great, easy to apply with a nice consistency and good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Serenity is a medium purple creme. In some lighting this can lean a bit blue but most of the time it looks very purple! The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Talia is a summery blue creme. Zoya describes this as turquoise but I don't feel like it has enough green to be a turquoise. The formula was great, easy to apply with great opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below. Like Cecilia, I did not have staining with this but others have so double up on base coat and be careful with removal.

Overall I really enjoy the Island Fun half of the Zoya Summer Collections, all the formulas are good and they are great for summer. My picks are Jace and Cecilia!

The Island Fun Collection is available now at Zoya.com, each polish retails for $9

  1. Love these colours too. :) Very nice swatches, as usual.
But, is it just me who feel like Zoya already have a lot of similar colours to those, already? Just wondering...

This Summer Zoya did such a great job with these. I already have Demetria, Cecilia and Serenity and they are LOVE!!!!

if you were ever to do another comparison post I would love to see Jace and Talia compared to TIlda and Ling though! I want them but they are just so close to polishes I feel like I already have :(

  4. So sorry to hear about your finger. I've only had a few cuts on mine and it's horrible with posing. The swatches are really great!
