Finger Paints Once In A Wild Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! So, I just realized today that I never told you guys...my AC got fixed woohoo! Big thank you to everyone who picked up a grab bag and made getting it fixed possible. Its been fun seeing people get the grab bags in the mail!

Today I have the Once In A Wild Collection from Finger Paints to share with you! These are out now at Sally Beauty. The collection is a mix of 3 core Finger Paints polishes and 3 new shades that will be available for July and August.  Check out the swatches after the jump!

Amazon Sky is a dark blue base with blue and silver micro glitter. The formula was on the thick side so application can be tricky, however it was also very opaque so getting away with 1 coat was easy. This did dry down a bit matte, I used top coat for my swatches.

Shade
Amethyst Accent is a purple shimmer, in low light it has a bit of a pink duochrome to it depending on the angle of your hand. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Shade

Exotic Emerald is a very dark blackened green base with blue green shimmer. This is so pretty, the shimmer is nice and bright out in the sun. It does tend to look a bit black in lower light though. The formula was good, but a bit thick. It was easy to apply and had nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below. This dried a little bit matte, I used top coat for the photos below.

Once In A Wild is very similar to Amazon Sky but in a purple tone. The formula was thick and a little hard to work with but the opacity was good and I only needed 1 coat. This dried a bit matte, I used top coat for the photos below.

Shade

Titian Tint is a metallic rose gold foil. This does have some visible brush strokes but they are pretty minor. The formula was good, it had great opacity and was easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Vermillion $ Painting is a red leaning orange with golden shimmer. My camera is capturing this a bit more red than it was in person. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had a nice consistency with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Once In A Wild Collection is available now at Sally Beauty Supply, Finger Paints retails for $5.49 ($4.99 with a Sally Beauty Club Card)

  1. Glad your a/c got fixed in time for this crazy humidity we're having lately. I don't have a/c in the house, so I've been taking an extra shower at night to cool down before going to sleep, and then having the fan on all night. And the a/c in my car is broken, but I don't have an extra $1100 just chillin' in my bank account! (Got about $400 saved up so far, still a ways to go!) Thankfully, I do work in an air conditioned office where I spend the majority of my day :) oh, and lovely swatches, as usual! Did I miss reading which ones are core and which ones are new?

  3. I am happy to hear you are once again living in comfort. I received my package yesterday! Woohoo. I do have a question about Exotic Emerald, how does it compare to China Glaze Smoke and Ashes, if you still have it available?

  6. I'm glad you have your A/C back! It's been 90+ here every day so it is a necessity. I'm not blown away with the colors, but I generally like Finger Paints. Your swatches are gorgeous as usual.

  10. yay, hope you like all the polishes! The shimmer in both polishes is similar but the base of the Finger Paints is more noticeably green (depending on the light)
