Mystery Grab Bag Sale! SOLD OUT!

Hi guys! Today I have a different post for you, I'm going to be selling some grab bags of polish! If you've been reading my blog lately you know about my ongoing saga with the AC at my house. I have been going round and round with the home warranty company for 7 months trying to get the unit fixed/replaced. They kept sending new contractors out every time who would put a bandaid on the problem then charge me ridiculous amounts for "modifications" that the home warranty doesn't cover. The whole thing is a scam in my opinion.

Anyway, they came out at the end of May and installed a new condenser/compressor (whatever it's called) on the roof and that fix lasted a whole week and a half. Then another person was sent out and they said the whole unit inside the house needed to be replaced...just like I had been telling them since December 2014! The home warranty company approved it but of course they have to tack on all those uncovered modifications, totaling a little over $600.

When I bought my condo in November I had a hefty savings for home repairs, I was planning on redoing the  bathrooms and kitchen counter top along with replacing the flooring. Unfortunately due to a pipe bursting a week after closing and everything that went along with that (multiple plumbing visits and extensive mold problems) along with all the AC issues and paying for a bajillion "modifications" my savings has dwindled down to a big fat zero. The only thing on my list I actually got to do was the flooring because it was done before everything decided to go to hell.

In order to pay to fix my AC I've decided to sell some grab bags of polish. I destash quite often and usually donate the polishes to charity along with giving them to friends, family and co-workers. This is really a last resort kind of thing for me and will hopefully be a one time only kind of deal. For all the details click the read more button below!

The grab bags are SOLD OUT, thank you so so much everyone. I am blown away by how amazing you guys are. <3 p="">
Each grab bag is $20 (price includes shipping). Please email thepolishaholic@gmail.com with the subject GRAB BAG if you would like to purchase one. Please make sure to include the email address linked to your Paypal account in your email. I will send you a PayPal invoice for $20, please make sure to pay within 24 hours of getting the Paypal invoice!

Each grab bag will contain 6 polishes. Most likely the majority of the polishes will be Indies but each bag will have at least 1 (or more) Mainstream or Boutique brands of polish. All polishes have been swatched once on 4 fingers.

I will be shipping the grab bags to US addresses ONLY. I apologize to all my international readers, I wish I could ship to you guys but there are just so many rules and regulations that go along with shipping polish internationally that I don't want to risk doing something wrong and having the polishes not reach you.

All grab bags paid for by Sunday night will be mailed out on Monday (July 20th)

I will not refund or replace polishes damaged in shipping, I promise they will be bubble wrapped like crazy (in pink bubble wrap no less lol). All packages are going to be sent via USPS priority mail in a flat rate padded envelope.

For those wondering since I do receive a fair amount of press samples, some of the polishes in the bags are polishes I received as samples. I have spoken to each indie brand included in the grab bags and gotten the ok to include them. I will not be including Mainstream polishes I received as a sample in these bags (no OPI, China Glaze or Zoya...sorry!)

I will try to accommodate you if you dislike a certain color, just let me know. If you want a grab bag and dislike glitter you're going to be out of luck...just sayin'. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to accommodate every request since these are first come first serve. Please make sure to let me know in your email if you have any requests, i.e. I don't like yellow polish.

This is first come first serve, once the grab bags are gone I'll remove this post :)

Thank you everyone for reading this post ♥ ♥

So sorry I missed it but very glad you sold them all. Hope this all helps you out - what a terrible mess! I hope all of this hasn't soured you on your place - it is a great place and you fixed it up so nicely. Good luck!

  8. Thanks Sharon <3 To be honest it did sour the place for a while, like I was seriously ready to list it and clean my hands of the place. After talking it through with family I have a new outlook on it though and I think it will be great once everything is in working order again!

  10. Thank you Rosalia <3 I wish I knew of a way to send to you. I've heard so many horror stories about polish being destroyed in some European counties by their mail systems that it scares me to ship stuff there

It will be - I'm living proof! But it's awful when you're going through it.

  13. Hi Jen, I have a couple of colors from this line, but I won't be buying any more. For me personally, the $12.50 price tag is not worth only a marginal increase in quality/wear time, especially since I've developed my own techniques for getting 5-6 days out of manicures using regular polishes and base/topcoats. Also, I can't stand the dulling of the topcoat that gradually appears. Oh, yes, one final complaint: it's not always sunny where I live, especially in the winter, so I don't get consistent results from this line. Just my 2 cents' worth here, I'm not knocking OPI!

  15. thanks dear, I actually live in México and arranged yesterday with a friend for her to receive a bag.
Fortunately for you, they're all sold out!! yay!! it'll be next time.. hopefully just for fun and not for fixing anything else in the condo ;)

  16. I agree with ya, I think they aren't worth it for the price tag either. I get good wear out of them but not enough to justify the expense :)

Wow, I'm behind the times here but am so sorry for all of the problems with your condo. If you decide to do this again, I'll for sure check it out sooner. Glad that they all sold quickly. :)

  19. I generally like the colors and swatches I have seen of this line, but personally, I find the price tag a little ridiculous (and I say this as someone who has bought Chanel and Dior polishes before)-- I change my polish often enough that I'm not necessarily looking for long-wearing polish and even though the colors are pretty, they aren't groundbreaking and/or unique in most respects.
