Esmaltes da Kelly Marvel & DC Comics Collection Swatches & Review Part 1: DC

Hi guys! Today I have the first half of the Marvel & DC Comics Collection from Esmaltes da Kelly to share with you. In total the collection has 20 polishes, half of them are inspired by DC Comics characters and the other half are inspired by Marvel characters. The theme is really fun for these but the labels for the bottles are so cute, I can't even handle it. Each bottle has a little illustration of the character and they are seriously adorable! I'll have the Marvel half of the collection up next week, click the read more button below to check out the DC half!

Apologies for the wonky hand pose in these photos, my fingers don't really like to curve nicely around round bottles *the struggle is real*

Batman is a mostly silver and holographic glitter with pops of black glitter. This is in a clear base but its so opaque on its own that you wouldn't know that just by looking at it. The formula was good, it was a touch thick but easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Cat Woman is a light pink crelly with small magenta glitter. The formula was really nice, it was slightly thick but in a way that made it easy to apply. I had no issues with it being streaky and the opacity was really good. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Green Lantern is green, black, white and holographic glitter in a green jelly base. The formula was good, again a little thick but easy to apply. The opacity was good, it had great glitter payoff and was opaque in 2 coats. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Joker is purple, black, white and holographic glitter in a purple jelly base. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with good opacity and glitter payoff. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Penguin is a light lilac crelly base with purple glitter. The formula was good, a little thick in a good way. The opacity was fantastic, a 1 coater....ya, you read that right. I used 1 coat plus top coat for the photos below.

Riddler is a light mint green crelly with  mint green glitter. The formula was good, it was also a little thick but easy to apply with great opacity. This was nearly a 1 coater, depending on how you apply polish you probably could get away with 1 coat. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Robin is green, blue and holographic glitter. I can't tell if this is in a green base or a clear base due to how opaque it is. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with good opacity and glitter payoff. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Superman is blue and holographic glitter in a blue jelly base. This is probably my favorite in the DC half of the collection, this has so much depth and sparkle to it. The formula was a touch thick but easy to apply with great opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

The Flash is gold, green, red and holographic glitter in a gold/yellow base. The formula was a little thick but easy to apply with good opacity/glitter payoff. I used 2 coats for the photos below. Depending on how the glitter spreads on the nail you may need 3 coats.

Wonder Woman is red and holographic glitter in a red jelly base. This is another favorite because it looks gorgeous on the nail. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with great opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.
