Glam Polish Darkly Dreaming Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Today I have the Dexter Collection from Glam Polish to share with you. I was pretty darn excited when Rachel from Glam Polish told me she was sending me a Dexter Collection. If you've been reading my blog for a while you know its one of my favorite shows ever (except for the last season, I'm still mad about Lumberjack Dex, just sayin'). This collection was pretty much named for me, I mean...I did name my Girly Bits collab shade Darkly Dreaming, after all!

This collection is made up of 9 gorgeous scattered holos with Dexter-ific names. These are available now over on the Glam Polish site, a link will be at the very end of the post! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Formula wise it was pretty consistent across the board, they were all a nice consistency and easy to apply. The opacity on all of them was good, they tend to come alive with top coat....they don't dry dull just not as fantastical as they look with top coat. I used 2 coats for all of the photos in this post, all photos are in natural sunlight.

Dex, Lies & Videotape is a red toned purple with a scattered holo and silver holographic glitter.

Doomsday is a blurple scattered holo with silver holographic glitter. This tends to look more blue outside and more purple indoors.

Homicidal Tendencies is a blue leaning teal scattered holo with silver holographic glitter.

It's Alive is a green leaning teal with a scattered holo and silver holographic glitter. The holo in this one is a bit stronger in person, its such a saturated base color that my camera couldn't pick the holo up very well.

Remember The Monsters? is a deep navy blue scattered holo with silver holographic glitter.

Road Kill is a rusty red scattered holo with silver holographic glitter. I really like this one, the shade of red is different than you normally see!

Scar Tissue is a magenta scattered holo with silver holographic glitter.

Trinity is a red scattered holo with silver holographic glitter. Ahh yes, wouldn't be a Dexter collection without Trinity. If you've never seen a single episode of Dexter I suggest you watch the season with Trinity...hands down the best.

Truth Be Told is a medium blurple scattered holo with silver holographic glitter. This is bit lighter than the other blurple and leans a tiny bit more purple.

Overall I like the collection, because hello...Dexter! The only things missing are a pine green named Lumberjack Dex and any shade named....

  2. These are all so beautiful! I think Road Kill is my fave though; it's such a unique shade. I'm a huge Dexter fan as well and was so disappointed in the ending.
