Femme Fatale Mad Tea Party Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys. today I have the Femme Fatale Mad Tea Party Collection to share with you! I was very excited about this collection, not only is the Alice in Wonderland theme awesome but there are some gorgeous and unique polishes in this collection that really drew me in. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Sunset Dreams of Ice Cream is a coral jelly base with orange, pink and gold glitter. This polish is not part of the Mad Tea Party Collection, it's the September Color of the Month! The formula was on the thick side and was also sheer at first. It was fairly easily to build up and would be good as a topper over a similar base color. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Always Tea Time is a taupe-y brown creme base with fuchsia glitter. The formula was good, it was easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Infamous Riddle is a khaki green with a reddish orange shimmer. This was a standout for me and was on my to buy list before Color4Nails sent me the collection. If you like interesting greens this is one you'll want to pick up. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Mad As A Hatter is a blue toned green jelly base with fuchsia shimmer and flakies that shift between orange to green. This was another on my to buy list. It doesn't look that fantastical in the sun but once you get in lower light or into the shade it comes to life! The formula was good, it was sheer but buildable. I used 2 coats for my photos, you can see some patchy spots in the photos but I couldn't see them in real life.

March Hare is a green toned yellow-brown base with green/gold shimmer and gold holographic glitter. This is one of the weirder shades in the collection, I mean that in a good way :P  I like weird shades. This isn't for everyone but if you like ugly-pretty colors it will be a great one to pick up. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Twinkle Twinkle is a blue jelly base with blue, purple and holographic micro glitter. The formula was a little bit thick but I had no issues with application. It does dry down a bit matte and with some texture so you'll probably need 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out and make it glassy. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Two Days Wrong is a light white-pink to a darker purple-pink thermal with white shimmer and iridescent flakes of glitter. I couldn't get the thermal to work very well, thanks to the heat we were having in So Cal when I wore this but you can see it in person. The formula was ok, it was sheer at first but did build. I used 3 coats for the photos below. When it was the lighter white-pink color I did feel like I needed another coat but when the darker pink is showing 3 coats is fine.

Up Above the World You Fly is a greyed out purple base with a strong blue shimmer. The shimmer is so strong in this one that you almost can't see the base color out in the sun! The formula was good, it was more opaque than I expected and was easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Wonderland is a medium blue crelly base with fuchsia shimmer and ultra chrome flakies. The formula was easy to work with and had a nice consistency and opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Mad Tea Party Collection and the September Color of the Month are available now at Color4Nails.com. Each polish retails for $10-$11.
