Ellagee Winter is Coming Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Today I have a collection from a new to the blog brand, but not a new to me brand...Ellagee! I've tried Ellagee before when a friend gifted me a bottle but have never posted any of their polishes before! The collection I have to share with you today is the Winter is Coming Collection and its being released today. Its inspired by Game of Thrones and each polish comes with a cute little snowflake ring! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Fear Is For The Winter is a white with blue shimmer. The shimmer is easy to see in person but on camera its showing more silver than blue for some reason. The formula was ok, it was on the thick side but I didn't have issues with application as long as I used a thin coat. It was a little patchy but built easily and evened it. This also dried down matte, I liked the way it looked like that so thats how I ended up wearing it. I used 3 thin coats for the photos below.

Ice and Fire is a dark blue jelly base packed with tiny blue flakes of glitter and copper shimmer. This is my favorite of the collection, blue and copper is a color combo I'll never get tired of and this looks incredible in the shade when you can really see the depth of the shimmer and flakes of glitter. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. It was sheer but it built easily. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below

Now My Watch Begins is a blue/black base with purple shimmer and a sprinkle of silver holographic glitter. The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had nice opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Lands of Always Winter is a silver holo, this has a little hint of blue in it also. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

War For The Dawn is a mix of blue and gold glitter in various shapes in a clear base. This is great for layering but I think you may be able to get it opaque on its own if you wanted to also since its so packed with glitter. The formula was good, it was easy to work with and the glitter payoff was fantastic. I used 1 coat plus top coat over Fear Is For The Winter

The Winter is Coming Collection from Ellagee is available starting today at, the individual polishes from this collection retail for $10.50-11.50, you can also pick up the set as a whole fort $49.50 which gives you a nice little discount.

  1. Yuni, I am so happy you are still swatching polishes! These look great as usual. My fave is the white, I can see the blue shimmer on the bottle and I bet it looks fantastic on nails.
