Femme Fatale Midsummer Night's Dream Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! This afternoon I have the Midsummer Night's Dream Collection from Femme Fatale to share with you. This post was supposed to be up yesterday but I guess blogger had other ideas because it never published the scheduled post :(

The Midsummer Nights Dream Collection is made up of 7 polishes, there are some really unique ones in here! Check out the swatches after the jump.

But A Dream is an aqua to turquoise thermal with purple shimmer. Unfortunately for me I couldn't get this one to change on me, not sure if its because of my body chemistry or what. Either way its pretty, thermal or not! The formula was good, it was sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Jewels From The Deep is a green leaning teal base with a strong blue/green shimmer, blue/green flakes of glitter and blue/green micro glitter. There is a lot going on it this one, it also has a ton of depth to it if you re in indoor lighting or the shade. The formula was ok, I found it to be a bit thick but ok to apply...it is one you'll need to be patient with though. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Shade
Liquid Pearl is an off white, slightly pink, base with strong purple shimmer and multi chrome flakies. This is one of my favorites of the collection, the shimmer is gorgeous and gives it a different look depending on the light you're in. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. This started out sheer but was easy to build. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Shade

Love's Wound is a pink toned purple, or a purple toned pink...I can't decide :P with a strong gold/green shimmer. The shimmer is showing a bit more gold in photos but it tended to lean more green in real life. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with great opacity. It does dry matte and looks good that way, the top coat really brings out the shimmer though! I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Maiden's Patience is a light grey, almost white, crelly base with white and holographic glitter along with a subtle green shimmer. The formula was ok, it was on the thick side and it kept wanting to be goopy on me when applying it. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Night and Silence is a reddish purple jelly loaded with iridescent glitter, blue/green shimmer and micro glitter. This is the most unique of the bunch, in my opinion. I have a love hate relationship with this polish, out in the sun or bright lighting I don't really like it but in the shade and indoors its awesome...its crazy how lighting can totally transform a polish! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Shade

Spangled Starlight is a pink toned lavender base with holographic silver glitter and blue shimmer. The formula was good, it was sheer but buildable. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

  3. Liquid Pearl and Love's Wound are beautiful!!
It's too bad about Maiden's Patience because it's also very pretty.
I see what you mean about Night and Silence. In the shade😍, in the light😝

  4. This collection is a miss for me, the glitter is so chunky and pink metallics can look very 80's in a bad way :)
