Painted Polish Holiday 2015 Classic Christmas Collection Swatches & Review

press sample

Hi guys, hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was ok, ended up feeling much better but overall it was a stressful weekend. My Grandma moved to a retirement community about 3 months ago and someone came into her room a few days ago while she was at lunch and stole all of her jewelry. The whole thing is pretty upsetting, we think it was an employee of the facility since all employees have keys that can open every door. Luckily its all electronic so the facility is getting to the bottom of it with the local police. Hopefully my Grandma gets at least some of her jewelry back, a lot of it was very special to her and from her parents and my Grandpa. I will never understand how people can be so vile, preying on the elderly like that....especially if they are in fact employed by the facility.

Anyway, onto polish! Today I have the Classic Christmas Collection from Painted Polish to share with you! This collection is a mix of the great micro glitters Painted Polish is known for plus a couple of crelly glitters which Painted Polish hasn't done in a while! Check out the swatches after the jump!

Bells, Bows & Mistletoe is pretty much Christmas in a bottle, patched with silver holo, green and red micro glitter in a clear base. The formula was good, it is a good consistency and easy to apply with good glitter payoff. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Frosty & Flirty is a slightly off white crelly loaded with blue, gold and silver micro glitter. The formula was really nice, it was a good consistency and nice to apply with good opacity and glitter payoff. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Frozen In A Flurry is a matte white glitter topper. This has all sorts of glitter, from squares to bars and hex glitter. The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was fantastic. I used 1 coat over Midnight Mischief (from the NYE duo, coming soon!) for the photos below.

Garland Gold is a golden micro glitter. This is a yellow gold, its not the best on my skin tone but shoot...I don't even care because of how sparkly and delicious looking it is. The formula was great, it was much more opaque than I was expecting and very easy to apply. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Grinch Green is a bright green micro glitter with little sparks of holographic glitter. If you are a fan of green polish like I am you'll be needing this one...it's currently at the top of my favorite polishes from Painted Polish. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. Depending on how you apply you'll need 2-3 coats. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Rudolph Red is red and red holographic micro glitter in a red tinted base. The formula was good, easy to work with and with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Single & Ready To Kringle is a light pink crelly with red, green and silver holographic micro glitter. The formula was good, it was a touch sheer on the first coat but it built really easily and was opaque with the second coat. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Sleigh Bells Silver is a silver holographic micro glitter in a clear base. This has little tiny bar glitters in it, its pretty my impossible to see in  my photos but you can see them in person! The formula was good, it had better glitter coverage than I expected. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Tickle My Tinsel is blue, gold and silver holographic micro glitter in a clear base. This was making my camera crazy...so much sparkle! The formula was good, it was a good consistency and had good glitter payoff. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

The Classic Christmas Collection from Painted Polish is available now at PaintedPolish.com, each polish retails for $10 (except Frozen In A Flurry which is $9). You can also pick the collection up as a whole for $75! If you want this make sure to get them before 12/18 as Painted Polish will be closing for the rest of the year that day!

  1. Great swatches as always! I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma, people are terrible...I have to admit I lol'd when I read your post, though, because you referred to the "local polish" rather than the "local police"....I guess that's what happens when you're polish-addicted!

  5. Grinch Green is a great looking polish! This collection is nice. How awful for your Grandmother. My MIL lived in a couple of retirement homes. You should feel secure and safe in them - it's shocking to have that happen. Hope she recovers her jewelry.
