Essie Cashmere Matte Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday! Good news, Degens teeth cleaning went well. He didn't have to have any teeth pulled but the vet did find a little cyst under his tongue so they had to biopsy it to make sure its not cancerous. Fingers crossed its nothing serious, poor guy has a few stitches in his mouth while it heals though.

Today I have the Cashmere Matte Collection from Essie for ya! Originally I wasn't going to get these, none of the swatches I had seen really spoke to me...but then I saw them in person and the shimmer in a few of them did me in. I decided to grab all of them because well...reasons. The Cashmere Matte Collection is made up of 6 matte finish polishes, 4 of them have a gorgeous blue shimmer and 2 are cremes. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

GlitterDaze Miraja of the Jungle Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Guess what today is? Today is Degen teeth cleaning day...fun fun. I hate when he has to get his teeth cleaned, I'm like a ball of worry until his vet calls to tell me he's done. Here's hoping that all his little teeth are alright, last time he had to have one pulled which made the whole thing ridiculously expensive.

Today I have Miraja of the Jungle from GlitterDaze to share with you! This polish is an LE shade thats a one and done kinda polish, as in once its sold out its gone forever. This polish is a blackened blurple jelly base with multicolored flakies. The formula was on the sheer side but it built up to full opacity in 3 coats. The only thing I wish is that there were a few more flakies in here since they can look sparse on the nail depending on how you apply the polish. All photos below are taken in the shade.

Miraja Of The Jungle is available at http://shopglitterdaze.com for $12.50, this is LE so get it while you still can!

Hi guys! Today I have a little bit of St. Patricks Day-ish themed nail art and a huge giveaway for you! Salon Perfect sent me 6 polishes that are perfect on their own or worn all together for St. Patricks Day, the set is made up of 4 core colors you can find at Walmart and 2 glitters that you can only get in the giveaway! You guys know how much I love green so this is right up my alley :)

The core colors are Sugar Cube (white creme), Gold Leaf (gold foil), Escape to Neverland (Green Creme, photographs a little blue but I promise its green!) and Loopy Lime (Neon green with gold shimmer). The 2 glitters exclusive to the giveaway are Luck Of The Irish (fine green glitter with small gold hex glitter) and Sham-Rock Your Socks Off (mix of different shades of green glitter in various sizes/shapes and white circle glitter)

For my middle nail I used Sugar Cube as a base with did simple strips with Escape To Never Land, Gold Leaf and Loopy Lime.  For the ring finger I did a gradient of Escape To Neverland, Loopy Lime and Gold Leaf and topped with with a coat of Sham-Rock Your Socks Off. For the pinky nail I did some simple negative space nail art with Loopy Lime!

Morgan Taylor Party At The Palace Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a polish from Morgan Taylor called Party At The Palace to share with you. This polish is part of their Cinderella Collection that just recently came out. I believe the collection is a collaboration with Disney for the Cinderella movie coming out soon. I saw this particular polish on a few blogs I read and I was like ohhh at the shimmer, so when I saw it at my local beauty supply store a couple weeks ago I decided to buy it.

Party At The Palace is a light blue with a nice golden shimmer. This shimmer is easy to see, even in indoor lighting. The formula was really nice, it was a good consistency and flowed nicely onto the nail. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Morgan Taylor can be a bit of a difficult brand to find, if you are a pro I *think* you can find them at Cosmoprof but since I can't shop there don't take my word for it lol! For us non-pros you can find them online at Loxa Beauty for $8.50 each.

GlitterDaze The Mythical Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Well good news if you've been following my house drama, I had the mold remediated last week and yesterday I had a company come in and do an air test to make sure all the mold is gone. They send the tests to a lab in South Carolina and I should  hopefully get the results back in a few days. Hopefully after that I'll finally live in my house haha! Today I have the Mythical Collection from GlitterDaze to share with you. This first part of the collection is made up of 5 flakie toppers. I believe GlitterDaze just released a few more shades which is exciting! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

piCture pOlish Moscow Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a quick post for you of one of the recent piCture pOlish collaboration shades. This polish is called Moscow and its a collaboration with Sasha Plein of nail-ru.com. Moscow is a burgundy base with what piCture pOlish calls a "Bijou Holo"which is a very pretty subtle scattered holo.

The formula of Moscow was great, it was a really nice consistency and the opacity was fantasstic. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

piCture pOlish can be found at www.picturepolish.com.au, they also have etailers all over the world, for a full list check out http://picturepolish.com.au/network

Today I have Essie's Resort Collection for 2015 to share with you. I haven' really seen much about these but I saw them when I was at my local nail supply store and decided to pick them up. Virago Varnish Show Stopper Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a polish from a new-to-me brand called Virago Varnish to share with you. I was watching a video from JessFace90 on Youtube a few weeks back about this brand and finally got around to browsing their website to pick up a polish or two or five.

The polish I ended up buying is called Show Stopper, originally I planned on getting a few but most of their stuff was sold out *sad face*. Show Stopper is a cobalt blue with blue shimmer throughout. I have a problem with polishes like this, when I see them I want them even though I already have something just like it. In this case it's very similar to a collaboration I did with Contrary Polish last year, which you can see here. I didn't actually realize how similar they were until I put on Show Stopper and its gorgeous so I don't even care haha!

The formula of Show Stopper was fantastic, it was thick in a good way that makes application a breeze. This could easily be a 1 coater if you are careful with application, I wasn't so I needed a very thin second coat. This does dry a bit satin matte, I used top coat for my swatch!

Virago Varnish is available at http://www.viragovarnish.com/, the prices of each polish varies. Show Stopper retails for $8!

ILNP Ultra Chrome Flakies Swatch & Review Part 1

Hi guys! Today I have 6 of the Ultra Chrome flakies from I Love Nail Polish to share with you! Barbra released these late last year and I am seriously kicking myself for taking what feels like a year to wear and post them. Life has been so insane with buying a house, moving to it, moving back to my parents and then living between both places that some stuff fell through the cracks, these were one of them...ugh.

Anyway, in total there are 13 different Ultra Chrome flakies, today I have 6 of them for you. The other 7 will be up soon! The Ultra Chrome flakies are kinda what you would get if you put flakies and multichrome polishes together. They aren't transparent-ish like normal flakies so the base color you wear them over really doesn't have an affect on what color they shift to. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Pixi Amethyst Amore Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a quick post for ya of Pixi Amethyst Amore, this shade is inspired by the birthstone for February. It's a deep blue with heavy purple undertones. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency with great opacity. If you're careful with this one it could be a 1 coater, I wasn't so I needed 2 coats for full opacity.

Amethyst Amore is available at http://www.pixibeauty.com, it retails for $8.

OPI Spring 2015 Hawaii Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was good, didn't do anything too terribly exciting, but I did watch the Grammy's, actually I should say I DVR-ed the Grammy's and sped through most of it lol. If you guys watched too did you have any favorite performances? Today I have the Spring 2015 Hawaii Collection from OPI to share with you! I've been looking forward to this collection for what feels like forever! Months ago I stopped by my local beauty supply to get something and the owner showed me a nail wheel of these and I was pretty smitten with a few of the colors! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Contrary Polish Shamrock & Roll; March 2015 A Box Indied Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Contrary Polish contribution for the March 2015 A Box Indied called Shamrock & Roll to share with you! I'm not sure of the *official* theme of the box but judging from Carrie's polish I'm guessing its St. Patrick's Day! If thats the case I may need to buy this box, after all you know how I feel about green polish!

Shamrock & Roll is a kelly green jelly with gold flakes of glitter. The green is much more vibrant in real life, it's one of those shades that my camera just can't accurately capture :( The formula was good, because its a jelly it starts out sheer but builds up to full opacity easily. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

A Box Indied is available exclusively from www.llarowe.com, for updates about when the March box will be available make sure to check out the Llarowe Facebook page.

Serum No. 5 February 2015 Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have February 2015 from Serum No. 5 to share with you. This is the second in her one and done monthly series of polishes! February 2015 is a creamy light pink base with white, red, gold and magenta glitter. It also glows a gorgeous indigo in the dark!

The formula was good, it was sheer at first but easy to get opaque. Because of the glow in the dark pigment it does dry with some texture, but nothing crazy that a coat of top coat doesn't get rid of. I used 3 coats of February 2015 and a coat of top coat for the photos below.

February 2015 is available at serumno5.com/, it retails for $13 and will only be available through the end of February!
