Serum No. 5 August 2015 Swatch & Review

Happy Friday! Today I have the next one and done monthly polish from Serum No. 5 for you! This is August 2015! I was pretty excited about this before I even saw it because of the inspiration. If you didn't already know this, the monthlies are inspired by the monthly colors from the Erin Condren Life Planner. The colors for August are yellow and green so I knew Victoria would be doing something awesome with that!

August 2015 is a bright, practically neon yellow with green and white glitter. This glows green in the dark! The glow is nice and strong with this one, the green glows are always my favorite because they seem to glow the strongest. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. It starts out sheer but build easily. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

In the dark...obvs

August 2015 will be available starting tomorrow, once its gone its gone so if you want it go snatch it up quick! You can find Serum No. 5 at www.serumno5.com.

Girly Bits Through The Looking Glass Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a Girly Bits polish to share with you called Through The Looking Glass! Before I get into the polish I wanted to let you guys know that Pam from Girly Bits is going to be joining #NailGlossip this Sunday over on Twitter as our special guest! If you've got any burning questions you're dying to have answered by Pam make sure to head on over and join us. The chat is on Sunday the 26th from 9-10pm EST!

Through The Looking Glass is a silver holo with rainbow flakies throughout it. It's a fun polish because it can be worn on its own or as a topper over a base color. I believe its not meant to be a topper but it works pretty well for it with 1 coat! The effect can be totally different depending on how you wear it. I really like it on its own, you get the awesome holo out in the sun and then in the shade the flakies come out to play. To see it over other shades check out the listing for it on the Girly Bits website.  The formula was good, on its own it is a little bit sheer but its easy to build up to full opacity. I used 3 coats on its own for the photos below.

Girly Bits is available at http://www.girlybitscosmetics.com/, Through The Looking Glass retails for $15 CAD. Girly Bits is also available at a variety of retailers, for a list check out http://www.girlybitscosmetics.com/store-locator/

Bettina Water Marble Nail Art

Happy Friday! Today I have a little nail art to share with you! Before I get into that though I want to thank everyone for the support yesterday on the grab bag post. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that they would sell out let alone go as fast as they did. You guys are amazing. There aren't enough words out there to express how thankful and grateful I am to everyone. I feel like such a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Degen and I will be able to actually enjoy being at my condo now and that is seriously all thanks to you guys. I'm always amazed by how something as small as loving nail polish and sharing it with everyone has connected me with such amazing and people from all over who are there to lend a hand when life throws you a curveball. Thank you all again, it is so very appreciated.

For the water marble below I used all Bettina polishes. I was introduced to the brand by Cris of Let Them Have Polish ages ago. Cris would always do the most amazing water marbles with their polishes! When I got the opportunity recently to try their polishes the first thing I did was try to water marble them...and guess what? They are flipping AWESOME for water marbling, I don't know what magic Bettina is putting in their polishes but they were the best I've ever tried for marbling. Instead of rage quitting half way though I actually got all my nails done in 1 attempt!

The polishes I used for the marble are all Bettina and are called Mystic (the blue), Giacinto (the pink), Flip Flops (the purple) and Enchanted (the beige). I'll have swatches of everything Bettina sent me up soon!

Bettina is widely available in Puerto Rico, and several places in Florida but outside of that you can order via phone or email. For retail locations check out http://bettinacosmetics.com/where-to-buy-usa.html. If you'd like to order via email, the contact is Janet and her email address is jrosado@bettinacosmetics.com and the phone number is 305-994-7436. Bettina will also be available soon on Amazon but when I looked last night they weren't there yet!

Mystery Grab Bag Sale! SOLD OUT!

Hi guys! Today I have a different post for you, I'm going to be selling some grab bags of polish! If you've been reading my blog lately you know about my ongoing saga with the AC at my house. I have been going round and round with the home warranty company for 7 months trying to get the unit fixed/replaced. They kept sending new contractors out every time who would put a bandaid on the problem then charge me ridiculous amounts for "modifications" that the home warranty doesn't cover. The whole thing is a scam in my opinion.

Anyway, they came out at the end of May and installed a new condenser/compressor (whatever it's called) on the roof and that fix lasted a whole week and a half. Then another person was sent out and they said the whole unit inside the house needed to be replaced...just like I had been telling them since December 2014! The home warranty company approved it but of course they have to tack on all those uncovered modifications, totaling a little over $600.

When I bought my condo in November I had a hefty savings for home repairs, I was planning on redoing the  bathrooms and kitchen counter top along with replacing the flooring. Unfortunately due to a pipe bursting a week after closing and everything that went along with that (multiple plumbing visits and extensive mold problems) along with all the AC issues and paying for a bajillion "modifications" my savings has dwindled down to a big fat zero. The only thing on my list I actually got to do was the flooring because it was done before everything decided to go to hell.

In order to pay to fix my AC I've decided to sell some grab bags of polish. I destash quite often and usually donate the polishes to charity along with giving them to friends, family and co-workers. This is really a last resort kind of thing for me and will hopefully be a one time only kind of deal. For all the details click the read more button below!

Cirque Summer 2015 Vice Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice weekend, mine was alright. On one hand it was really beautiful weather here so I was able to get a ton of blog related stuff done that I wanted to. On the other hand I'm still having issues with my condo/AC. Heard that to fix it will cost $625 even with my home warranty (useless, don't ever buy one). I sure as heck don't have an extra $625 laying around so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I was thinking about possibly selling grab bags of polish to help pay for my AC getting fixed...is that something you guys might be interested in?

Anyway, today I have the Cirque Vice Collection for Summer 2015. This collection is made up of 5 vibrant creme polishes and a holographic topper. I really enjoy the collection, they are so great for Summer and I'm a big fan of Cirque cremes so that was nice too! These are available now, I'll have the link for where to pick them up at the end of the post. Click the read more button below to see all the swatches!

Hi guys! Today I have a short post for ya of Literary Lacquer More Like Fire Than Light. I believe this polish is one of their core shades that is always available.

More Like Fire Than Light is an orange holo. Depending on the light it get more vibrant but most of the time it was a bit of a darker, more bronze orange on me. I really love the color and the holo is fantastic! The formula was good, it was a touch sheer at first but it was easy to build up. I used 3 coats for the photosbelow.

OPI Nail Envy Strength In Color Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the new OPI Nail Envy Strength In Color polishes to share with you! These are revamped versions of OPI's Nail Envy in three of OPI's favorite shades. I really like the idea of these, they are great for someone who wants to only wear a strengthening treatment and doesn't want just clear polish on their nails. In addition to the 3 Nail Envy shades tinted with OPI's favorites there is also a new shade only in Nail Envy form called Pink To Envy. I don't have it swatched in this post since it pretty much looks clear on the nail :)

Serum No. 5 July 2015 Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Can you believe it's already July?!? This year is flying by like crazy! Today I have the newest one and done polish from Serum No. 5 called July 2015. This polish is a fun one that is good for a patriotic mani or any other time of the year.

July 2015 is a blue jelly base  loaded with blue and red glitter in various sizes and silver stars. This also glows bright aqua blue in the dark! The formula was good, it is a touch sheer but very easy to build, the star glitter was also easy to get out which is always nice. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below. Looking at my photos 3 coats probably would have been better, so next time I wear it that's what I'll end up using.

July 2015 will be available starting today over at SerumNo5.com
