First Impression Friday: DazzleGlaze

Happy Friday! Today for First Impression Friday I have some Dazzleglaze polishes to share with you! I can't remember where I found out about this brand, it was either from a reader comment or when there was a post in a Facebook group about indies doing New Years sales. Either way I ended up picking up a couple polishes from them because they were having an awesome sale at the time and I couldn't pass it up.

Dazzleglaze sells a whole assortment of things from nail polish to cuticle oil and even super sparkly phone cases that they hand make.  I ordered on 1/2/16 and received my polishes on 1/11/16. Their turn around time was listed as a week and everything shipped 5 days after my order. I was actually expecting it to be a little longer since I ordered during a sale so that was a nice surprise! The polishes arrived in a little box and each was bubble wrapped, the box was also filled with packing peanuts so everything was extra secure!

Check out the polishes I got after the jump!

2nd Nature is a dark blue with green and blue shimmer. The color is gorgeous, much more so in real life than a camera can capture. The formula was good, it was a little thick but in a good way that made application easy. The opacity was fantastic, it is an easy 1 coater. I actually ended up using 2 coats to see if it would deepen the color but it didn't so 1 coat would have been perfect. This dried down a little dull so top coat really brought it to life.

The only issue I had with this one is that the shimmer tends to be sinky, when I got it the shimmer had all settled on one side of the bottle from shipping. I had a heck of a time getting it to redistribute but once it didn there wasn't a problem. Its just something to be aware of, it wouldn't stop me from wearing this again or from buying it in the first place.

Magical Cabbage is a light green jelly base with yellow, green and white glitter. I bought this for the color and for the name haha! The formula was difficult, it was thick, chunky and hard to apply. It was sheer on the first coat and needed 3 coats to be opaque in some spots but it was so chunky and impossible to apply after the second coat that a third coat was not an option. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Overall I'm on the fence about Dazzleglaze, 2nd Nature was good but Magical Cabbage was a pain in the butt. I might order again in the future if there is another good sale but I'll probably stay away from the glitters.

Dazzleglaze is available at https://www.etsy.com/shop/RadiantlyVivacious, they offer polishes in both mini and full sizes and prices range from $4.75-$12.

  1. I recently placed a huge order at DazzleGlaze! 2nd Nature was in there as well and I love it. Your gorgeous swatches make me want to wear it as soon as possible :)

Oooohh, very nice choices! Too bad about the formula on Magical Cabbage. Have you tried thinner yet? I'd try that and possibly layering 1 coat over a similar base color might help. :)

  3. I haven't tried thinner yet, but its on my list...I think that'll probably help it out a bit!

  4. Magical Cabbage is so strange but in a good way! It stinks it was such a pain to apply!
