First Impression Friday: Ever After Polish

Happy Friday! Today for First Impression Friday I'm going to be talking about Ever After Polish! I've heard a lot of great things about this brand on blogs I follow and have had them on my need to buy from list for a little while now. I was finally pushed over the edge when I saw a photo of a new polish posted in a Facebook group and just had to have it! I ended up buying 3 polishes, which was hard because there are seriously so many gorgeous polishes...narrowing down the list was difficult (and I kinda regret not buying all of them haha)

Ever After Polish make a variety of products aside from polish. They have everything from cuticle products to face masks, lip masks and bubble bath. Ever After also offers a monthly box that you can either buy as a one off box or you can subscribe to it. In addition to all of that Ever After also does custom polishes and all of the ones I've seen are gorgeous, the polish that actually made me order started out as a custom then was added as a regular polish.

I placed my order on 1/15/16 during a presale and received everything on 1/28/16. I was expecting a longer turn around time because of the presale so it was a nice surprise to get them a little earlier than I thought I would. Everything came packaged really nicely, the polishes were individually bubble wrapped then put into a bag that was sealed shut with washi tape. There was also a copy of my order, a thank you card, a piece of candy and a sample of the Ever After Cuticle Crelly included in the package. Everything arrived in a bubble mailer. I did have a minor customer service issue that will be mentioned later in the post (luckily a good one this time)! Check out everything I got after the jump!

Jungle Juice is a deep purple jelly with copper shimmer and a rainbow of flakies. The formula was good, it was sheer but easily buildable. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Sashay is a light mauve pink crelly with a rainbow of ultra chrome flakies. I love this one, I actually almost didn't buy it and I'm so glad I did. The shade of pink and incredibly flattering and the flakies are of course...the cherry on top. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Unicorn Approved 2 is a dusty blue with a scattered holo and ultra chrome flakies. This is the polish that was originally a custom, I saw a swatch of it from the girl who had it made for her and was like :O and had to have it. The formula was good, it was easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Funny enough this is the polish that also caused a small problem, my bottle was missing the Ever After sticker on it, as you can see in my photos. At first I didn't really care but then I worried I would find this in my Helmer down the road and not remember who it came from (I don't know why, since I could just search my blog for it) so I sent an email to Rachel who makes Ever After. Rachel sent out a sticker that I could put on my bottle along with a second sample of her cuticle crelly. I think it was less than a week between emailing and getting the new label which was great! It's always nice to get good customer service like that!

Last up is the little sample of Cuticle Crelly that was included with my original order, the one Rachel sent with the new bottle label is a different scent and not pictured because its on my desk at work.

The sample is pretty small, not sure of the exact size, but its more than enough to try it out and know if you like it or not. I have to say, I really like this product. It has a nice texture to it, like a thick lotion, and it sinks in quickly while still being very hydrating. The scent I got in my original package is Twigs & Berries which has notes of red currant, soft woods, cinnamon, peach and orange. Its an interesting scent that I enjoy!

The cuticle crelly I got with the replacement label was Hot Buttered Rum which smells like vanilla and rum...it's yummy!

Overall I love everything I got, I'm also really happy that I got to try out the cuticle crelly since it is something I will buy in the future. Needless to say I will be purchasing from Ever After again, not only because the polishes are gorgeous but because the customer service was good and I remember stuff like that when deciding where I spend my money.

Ever After Polish is available at http://everafterpolish.bigcartel.com/, polishes range from $8.50-$11!

  1. These are all really pretty! Jungle Juice reminds me of a better, more flaky filled OPI Merry Midnight. I love that polish, so I might need JJ!

  2. YAYYY!!! You finally took the plunge!! I'm so happy that you love them, and they look amazing on you! ♥♥

  3. Wow. Such pretty polishes. And great customer service to boot. I really love Sashay & Unicorn Approved 2. I love crellies & these are gorgeous.

  4. So sad--Jungle Juice is sold out! Love it!

  5. The colors you shared are pretty.

  6. Hopefully it gets restocked!!

  7. I'm so glad I did too and thank you!! ♥

  8. It reminds me a lot of Merry Midnight also, but a more awesome version of it!

  9. Ever After is one of my very favorite brands! I mask love the cuticle crelly!

  10. My Sasha just shipped so excited!!

  11. I am so glad you liked this brand! I really like them as well and their polishes are totally awesome. You must try Flesh Popsicle ;)

  12. Brilliant! I'm so glad you're happy with them. I recently placed my first order with them too and had a bit of a blunder with the wrong shipping address (my own fault entirely). They've been gracious and wonderful to work with. You're right - customer service makes a world of difference.

  13. I've also head great this about Ever After Polish but haven't gotten around to trying them out as yet. These are all gorgeous and have just gotten added onto my wish list lol. I completely agree with you about the customer service. I've actually received horrible customer service from an indie before and that has caused me to never want to purchase from them again.
