Illyrian Polish Eerie Woodland Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have part of the Eerie Woodland Collection from Illyrian Polish to share with you. This is a brand that I was planning on buying from in the near future so I was really excited to get a few in a recent package from Color4Nails to try out. I was already excited about the brand and these pretty much guaranteed that I'm gonna go buy a few polishes I had my eye on, you'll probably see them in the future in a First Impression Friday post!

Illyrian Polish makes a lot of really gorgeous shimmers and this collection has a bunch of them. I believe the Eerie Woodlands Collection has been released in different parts, from what I can tell these 6 polishes are from the third part of the collection. Check out the swatches after the jump!

Bioluminescent is a fuchsia jelly with strong blue shimmer. The formula was a nice consistency but it was fairly sheer. I'd recommend wearing this one over a corresponding base color. I used 3 coats for the photos below but would probably use 4 if I wore it on its own again. This dried a little dull so you'll want to top coat it to bring out all the shimmer.

Dark Palace is a deep inky blue jelly loaded with gold and iridescent flakes. This one is gorgeous, the flakes give it a ton of depth. The formula was good, its sheer but buildable due to the jelly base. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Mirkwood is a sheer black base with green to copper shifting shimmer and flecks that shift between blue and pink. This one is a stunner, t's much more interesting in real life than pictures can show. It has an almost purple shift that I could see with my eyeballs that my camera couldn't pick up. The formula was good, t's sheer but buildable and easy to apply. It would be good layered over a black base also. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Nymph is a light blue/grey/green base with a flash of purple/blue shimmer. The shimmer is subtle in this one but really comes out to play at the right angle. The formula was a little on the thick side but I had no issue with application. It was sheer but it built easily and was opaque in 3 coats. This dried a little dull so I used top coat.

Sorcerer is a teal holo with a vibrant flash of green shimmer. This was a surprise favorite for me, it was pretty in the bottle but once it was not he nail and the shimmer came out it was like whoa. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below. I would recommend 2 coats of base coat with this one, I did not have staining with it but it is the type of blue that can stain.

Unearthly Whisper is a blue based grey with coppery shimmer. This is my favorite of the bunch and exactly the type of polish that put Illyrian Polish on my radar. I adore shimmers like this and this one did not disappoint. The formula was good, a little thick but easy to apply. I used 2 coats plus top coat for my photos. You made need 3 coats with this one depending on your application.
