Morgan Taylor A Very Nauti-cal Girl Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys. Hope you all had a nice weekend and good Mothers Day! Today I have the Morgan Taylor A Very Nauti-cal Girl Collection to share with you. This is a 4 piece collection with 3 cremes and a shimmer. Check out the swatches after the jump!

Catch My Drift is a rich blurple creme. This goes between blue and purple depending on your skin tone and the kind of lighting your in. It tended to lean more to the purple side on me. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and applied easily. It was a touch patchy on the first coat but it built easily and was opaque and evened out in 2 coats.

Girls Love Buoys is a bright magenta pink creme. This is nice and bright, not near but very bright. The formula was fantastic, it was a creamy easy to use consistency and had fantastic opacity. It could easily be a 1 coater, I used 2 coats for my swatch to see if it deepened the color but it didn't make a difference. This did dry down a little satin so you'll want to use top coat.

My Yacht, My Rules is a shimmery white. The shimmer in this is much more noticeable in real life than I captured in photos. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and had good opacity. It was a little streaky on the first coat but it was opaque and evened out with 2 coats.

Wish Upon A Starboard is a red creme. This is a classic cherry red, its vibrant and looks great on. I'm not much of a red polish kind of girl but sometimes I wonder why not when I put on pretty ones like this. The formula was good, it was easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

This collection is available now at, you can buy them individually for $9 each or in a mini set with all 4 for $15

What a lovely set! And like the idea of a mini set!

  2. The collection screams for cool designs! The white one is very beautiful.

  3. My Yacht, My Rules captivates me!

  4. That white is surprisingly flattering on pale skin, which whites don't tend to be! It must be the sparkle :)

This is a gorgeous set of colors for Summer. I really love love love the "Catch My Drift" blue. Would love to use the blue and white for horizontal striped nails and maybe add a small heart (or bow) with the "Wish Upon a Starboard" red!
