First Impression Friday: Bliss Polish

Happy Friday! This week for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes from Bliss Polish to share with you! Bliss Polish has been on my radar for a long time, I always seem to love the polishes they do in collab boxes but just never pulled the trigger and ordered any. A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a polish from a new trio and that finally made my order!

I placed my order on June 6th, the shipping times was insanely fast, I received my polishes on June 8th! I believe Bliss Polish is fairly local to me so thats part of it but even if I wasn't so close I still would have gotten them incredibly fast. The polishes were packed really nicely, they arrived in a little box and were individually bubble wrapped. There was also a piece of candy and a copy of my order in the box.

Check out everything I got after the jump!

Blissues is a deep blacked red jelly base with ultra chromes flakes of glitter. The base does tend to swallow up the glitter a little bit because of how dark it is but when they do pop out they are gorgeous. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. Because of the jelly base it does go on a little sheer but it was easy to build. This also dried down a little dull so you'll want to top coat it to bring out the flakes. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Jax is a grey matte polish with a bit of silver and holographic shimmer that comes out with top coat. I believe Bliss Polish just recently released a new holo version of this also (not sure if its also matte). The formula was great, it was a really nice consistency and a breeze to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below. The first coat is without top coat and the second is with top coat.

Stargazing In The Pool is a blue jelly base with blue and holographic micro glitter. This is the polish that made me finally order from Bliss. The formula was not good unfortunately, it was very thick like applying glue but on the blue side the opacity was crazy good and I only needed 1 coat. This did dry with texture and a bit dull so you may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out and shine it up. I used 1 coat plus top coat for the photos below.

Overall I'm happy with my polishes. I wish the formula of Stargazing In The Pool was better but I do love the color. I did mention my issues with the formula in a Facebook group and the maker of Bliss offered to replace my bottle. I don't feel like it was a big enough issue to warrant that so I turned it down. Seems like the customer service is on point so I wanted to mention that also!

The only thing that might stop me from ordering again is that finding reviews of their polish is HARD. It looks like Bliss Polish only uses Instagram swatchers and pretty much every one of them I clicked on for a review of the polish while I was placing my order made zero mention of formula etc. I like pretty swatches as much as the next person (obviously) but as a customer being able to read a real review prior to buying is important to me. Because of my issues with Stargazing I'll probably be less likely to order again if I can't find an actual review in the future.

  1. I love that gray with the top coat on, but I agree, I like being able to read reviews for brands I've no experience with!

See, that's why I LOVE these posts! Your issue with finding (honest) reviews is true for most nailistas bus so few of us have a platform to say these things so, thank you! As always, your swatches are marvelous!

  3. Thanks Stacy <3

  4. EXACTLY my trouble with IG swatches! with the right topcoat and camera setup, you can wrangle a pretty picture out of most crappy formulas, but that doesn't mean it looks good IRL or wears nicely. thanks as always for your detailed reviews!

  5. Jax is such a classic Bliss shade. I am glad you liked it, it is one of my faves.
