Nine Zero Lacquer Valley Isle Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a brand new Nine Zero Lacquer Collection called Valley Isle to share with you. This 4 piece collection was inspired by some of the sights Jess from Nine Zero saw while on a recent trip to Maui. These will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, all of that info will be at the very end of the post. Check out all the swatches after the jump!

Black Cove is a black jelly base with holographic micro shards. I really like the little shards in this, I have a lot of black jellies with holo but none quite like this one. The formula was a good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. Due to the jelly base it is sheer at first but it builds nicely. Depending on your application you'll need 2-3 coats. I used 3 coats for my photos. This did dry down a bit dull so you'll want to top coat it to bring out the holo shards. This also dried pretty much smooth, depending on how the shards end up on your nail there may be a little bit of texture but its very minor if you do have it at all.

Coconut is an off white/light yellow creamy base with tiny gold flakes. I actually thought the gold flakes were shimmer at first but once I got it on the nail I could tell they were little itty bitty flakes! I love this polish, it doesn't quite love me back (its a little too yellow for my skin tone) but shoot, I'll still wear it haha! The formula was good, it was a touch thick in a good way that makes application easy. It was sheer at first but it built easily. Depending on your application this is a 2-3 coater, the opacity was mostly good at 2 coats but I had a few patchy spots. This dries down smooth but a little dull so you'll want to top coat it to bring out the sparkle. I used 3 coats plus top coat for my photos.

Trade Winds is a really pretty blue jelly base loaded with blue shimmer, iridescent flakies, holographic micro threads and the little gold micro flakes that Coconut had. This one is my personal favorite of the collection, it looks good in pretty much all lighting. In the brighter lighting the shimmer stands out and then in the lower lighting the iridescent flakies show a bit more. The formula was good, it was sheer due to the jelly base but it built easily. This does have a bit of a skunky smell to it because of the blue pigment used and I kind of expected that. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below. I did not have any staining with this blue!

Volcanic is a rusty red with copper and bronze micro flakes. This is not quite as red in real life as in photos, and the shimmer stands out a lot more in real life also. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. It was sheer on the first coat but completely opaque with the second coat. This did dry down a little bit dull so you'll want to top coat it. I used 2 coats plus top coat for my photos.

The Valley Isle Collection will be available for preorder starting on June 3rd at 11am EST, the preorder ends on June 8th at 11:59pm EST. You can find Nine Zero at www.ninezerolacquer.com
