Great Lakes Lacquer August 2016 LE's Swatches & Review

Hi Guys! Today I have 3 new polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer to share with you! These 3 polishes are are only available for the month of August in the Great Lakes shop. Check out the swatches after the jump!

I Left My Heart At Houghton is a blue leaning periwinkle with blue shimmer and little flakes of holo glitter. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply. It is a touch sheer so depending on your application its a 2-3 coater, I used 2 coats plus top coat for my photos.

Shells and Sand is a rosy pink with a golden flash of holo along with pink and peach flecks. This is my favorite of the trio which I was surprised by since I like pinks but they aren't usually a favorite for me. The formula was great, it was a little thick in a good way that made application a breeze. The opacity was really nice on this, it was very nearly a 1 coater for me. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

The Waters of Torch Lake is an aqua blue with blue to green color shifting shimmer. The shimmer doesn't translate very well in my photos but it is more visible in real life. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

All 3 of these polishes are available in the Great Lakes Lacquer etsy shop until Sept. 2nd at 2pm EST!

    A lovely trio!

  2. Oh, wow, the periwinkle caught my eye first, and then I saw the name! My cousins and I spent a couple of summers at Houghton Lake. Clearly, I am meant to own this polish.

  3. all the colors in this collection are really gorgeous!

  4. Link please?

  5. There's a link at the end of the post :)

  6. I see the link but it doesn't show up like a link on my monitor, which might be why she missed it. The link font is the same color as all the rest of the type.
