Formula X System Review + TGIF Swatch

Hi guys! Today I have a quick review of the Formula X System along with one of their polish shades called TGIF. I received a box from Inflenster with these products and was excited to give them a go! I've been a big fan of Formula X since it was launched by Sephora but had never tried out any of their products other than the polish.

Their system includes a "cleaanse" step which removed the oils and moisture from your nail, this helps the base coat adhere better which will help your mani last longer. The second step is  their base coat which is a sticky base coat similar to something like CND Stickey or Orly Bonder. The next step is your polish and you finish that up with their top coat. The top coat is meant to give a gel like effect so it dries super shiny and relatively quickly. I was a little skeptical about the system before using it, I find that they usually don't do anything fantastical, but I really ended up enjoying it. I got fantastic wear with TGIF and have since used it with other brands and had great wear with them also. When I wore TGIF I took my polish off after 6 days and had minimal tip wear and a teeny tiny chip, usually I have crazy tip wear thanks to typing on a keyboard all day, so that was a nice surprise. Overall I enjoy it and will continue to use it!

TGIF is a bright peachy pink. This shade was incredibly hard to photograph, it leans a bit more pink in real life. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and I had no issues with it being streaky or patchy. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

You can pick up The System from Formula X plus 1 polish of your choice on the Sephora website for $32!
