Great Lakes Lacquer Polish Con Exclusives Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a trio of polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer to share with you. These 3 polishes are exclusive to Polish Con, which is happening in Chicago in a couple of weeks! Great Lakes Lacquer will be there along with a ton of other fantastic brands, not only that but Great Lakes is also a co-coordinator of the convention! There will be a link at the end of the post to the event page in case you have no idea what I'm talking about! Check out the swatches after the jump.

Fallen For Flake is a vampy violet base with orange to gold flakies and multichrome flakies that shift between violet, red, orange and gold. There is also a flash of shimmer that goes between pink and bronze. I love the lit from within look that the shimmer gives to this shade! The formula was great, it was a nice consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Leaves In The Lake is a deep blue jelly with red to bronze and green to fuchsia ultra chrome flakies. This polish is gorgeous, it really does look like leaves in a lake. If you go to Polish Con this would be one that is a must have to pick up! The formula was good, it was a touch patchy on the first coat but it evened out easily. Depending on your application its a 2-3 coater. I used 3 coats plus top coat for my swatch.

Leaves In The Sand is a red thermal with pink and gold shimmer. This goes from candy apple red when its warm to a deeper more burgundy red when cool. I like the subtle shift in this one, it looks like a gradient on me most of the time. I didn't have an issue with it not changing, it looked how it does in the photos on me most of the water needed for the change! The formula was good, it was easy to apply and had good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

This polish will only be available at Polish Con, you can check out the event page for Polish Con on Facebook here. Prices range for these from $10-$12.

Edited to Add: Both Leaves In The Lake for $12 and Leaves In The Sand for $10 will be available in the Great Lakes Lacquer shop (located here) on September 21st at 3pm until the end of September!
